New Template

I made a template which (I think) is more concise and less patronising than the existing one. I'd very much appreciate people's input. --Dawkins DAWKINS IS WATCHIN' [T][P!][W!][] is currently: having his arm torn off by a zombie. 20:13, 27 July 2010 (BST)

Some things

Hey all interested people (read: RC stalkers),

I'm learning a lot from DDR and Aichon, including that Jorm did a study a while ago that the {{Welcomenewbie}} template is actually harmful to new users. Is it ok if I add a message to this page stating as much? I was also thinking of possibly revamping the Project page entirely; would anyone object?

Also, can I (as before) clear out Project members who haven't been active in, say, three months? That way new users won't be confused. Bob Moncrief EBDW! 01:04, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Clear out the inactives. And I think that revamping Welcome would be a good idea. Steering anyone away from using WN can't be a bad thing. It might encourage people to join up too. A ZOMBIE ANT 01:36, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Joining

I know I'm pretty new to the wiki, but I always love to help newbies on whatever site I play on, and plan to be active here for a while. I've played Urban Dead for a bit a while ago, but mostly just stalked the Wiki for a longer time, because I'm weird like that. I do know enough about Wiki editing and the game to answer newbie questions, and would love to help you guys out! ^Quinnr^ 23:55, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Awesome! Project Welcome is still pretty informal, and we've yet to have a request for help via this page in the recent era, but it's good to have you aboard! Bob Moncrief EBDW! 03:11, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
