History

The club was founded in 1977 and attracted a crowd of club goers that were found of the Electric boogaloo style of funk dance and street dance. After some succefull years the club entered a declining phase that matched the last days of disco music in Malton. Worried about declining profits, Club Androwes owners encouraged a radical change and the space was re-opened in 1982, as a folk dance club and restaurant.
