Recommended Neutral Opening Statement

Redflag Express is a small group of friends from the Midwest region of the United States who enjoy playing Urban Dead together. That is the purpose of its existence. They do not presume to be any better or worse than any other group and neither like nor dislike anything, including (though not limited to) the living dead, conspiracies, the government of the US or the UK, PKers, GKers, RKers, ZKers, PKerKers, or Marmite. Is that neutral enough for you?

A Brief History

The outbreak in Malton has been well covered up by the governments involved, but news from certain fringe elements has trickled out, creating an baroque puzzle like following a trail of breadcrumbs through a Gordian knot. Roger Craw, a police detective investigating a series of grisly murders in Chicago, followed various clues and even more hunches until he was crouched in the mud in the rainy English countryside at midnight. His local guide led him along a rail-line than had been recently abandoned and through numerous military checkpoints until they reached a hastily constructed but imposingly solid wall. "They built it in a matter of hours. The walls are over three feet thick. On the other side," the guide said, "is Malton." In over his head, Detective Craw called on his old friends.

The original members of the RFE grew up in the same small Midwestern town in the United States. They each went their own way, unknowingly gaining skills that would become essential for survival in Malton. Some became cops, others joined the US Army. Some studied sciences, politics and counterterrorism. Most had, in the course of their activities, encountered elements of what would become the Malton conspiracy.

After they heard about the horrors ravaging Malton, they hatched a plan to help stop the zombie hordes. Since all routes into Malton were closed, they had to be inventive with their ingress into the city's boundaries. After hijacking a locomotive from the a nearby Marmite manufacturing plant, and decorating their conveyance with their distinctive crimson battle-flag, they made their way towards Malton.

Recruiting Policy

Far be it from us, a rag-tag group of mismatched comrades to be selective about the company we keep. At this moment we have a fairly small set of goals and an equally small theater of operation. Because of this, any and all assistance will be welcomed and appreciated. Further questions and/or requests should be directed to Deacon at the email address above; or find us at our top secret HQ.

Here's a hint, currently our top secret HQ is located in Darvall Heights.

Anyone wishing to show solidarity with our group should acquire a porter's cap from a railway station and or write a red armband into their profile. In other words, informal membership is welcome.

Coordination

With new changes in Malton favoring the undead (i.e. ruining, restrictions on free-running, et al.) it's time for survivor groups, even small loosely affiliated types with no real hierarchy, to work on coordination. To this end, the RFE has begun to adopt aspects of X:00 tactics. When the necessity for a raid on an important TRP arises, a raid time will be announced and members will adopt the time (in GMT) and location of the attack in their profiles. Any sympathetic individuals or groups are more than welcome to augment our numbers.
