Subject: My Start
Date: 19:12:53, 08/08/2007
Report: I started my mission today in the suburb of “Pegton,” a small area near the eastern border of Malton’s quarantine. I was airdropped in by the NecroTech Corporation R&D Sector helicopter, and nearly landed into a crowd of these ‘undead’ specimens. I immediately practiced the field training taught, and scurried away to the nearest building. Within hours the specimens that I had landed near, probably joined by a few others, took down the feeble attempt at barricaded I tried and attacked me. I managed to hide in this closet to send out my report, but I think it might be damaged because the send button is missing. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Undeath
Date: 08:34:11, 08/15/2007
Report: In the week since my landing I was overcome by the zombies in that bank. All I can remember is th pain of bites and claws, and then a peaceful haze. I awoke laying down next to a hospital, still with all my equipment. My PDA says I haven’t traveled far, and I recognize a spent revival syringe near me. The hospital was enterable through a closed exit. I found, to my amazement, a fully functioning hospital staff and various other survivors looking for a place to live. They welcomed me quickly and quietly offering me food and a bed, not to mention medical attention. After several hours a horde of the specimen attacked the outside of the building, fighting for entrance and screaming a manner of disturbing things. I helped the team fight them off with reconassaince, and was briefly overcome by a zombie until a helpful person shot the thing right off of me! I fear like before my PDA was damaged, for the screen has started to crack. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Revival and Inspiration
Date: 22:56:25, 08/17/2007
Report: So far my mission in Pegton has been going unsuccessful. As I said in my last review, my data communicator seems to be having trouble sending files after the initial attack on St. Matthew’s. After having fallen into the ranks of the specimens I have found myself left with a sense of helplessness and loss directly after revival, followed by hope. It has been making me think about the mental aftereffects of the infection. I believe some small research may be neccessary into interviewing and discussing this topic on a more broad level. I will continue my research for now and try to keep our HQ updated. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: The Study
Date: 20:56:25, 08/18/2007
Report: Since yesterday I have interviewed a couple of doctors from the St. Matthew’s staff. They have been giving me a list of symptoms for something called an Infectious Bite, a specimen trait. I looked for it in the NecroTech R&D file system and found a small subnote, so added to it. Meanwhile the malicious onslaught to the hospital has been endless, but the various survivors have been holding the zombies at bay. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Awakening
Date: 11:11:48, 09/19/2007
Report: I just awoke late last night in a strange state. My clothes were in ruins, much of my equipment was damaged, and I had no idea where I was at. It seems I’ve been missing for a little over a month-in-a-half. Odd… I can remember nothing. I fell asleep at St. Matthew’s and awoke here in some destroyed Auto Shop two Suburbs away! Perhaps I was in a coma and transported, or even pronouced dead. Maybe I somehow was killed and traveled here as one of them. I did manage to interview a couple of people before my dissappearance, but my files are damaged. I will try to repair them with what I can remember. I’m just so dizzy… ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: The Sickness
Date: 20:21:38, 09/20/2007
Report: My head was throbbing for hours after my last report, and I got sudden patterns of illness and dizziness. I managed to close the doors and set up a weak, loose at best, barricade, and a traveling survivor fixed the place up with me. I sat in the Auto Shop for what seemed like an eternity, seeing things and being overcome with whatever it was that was happening. I had begun to cough up blood when a man entered through a side window, the specimens on his tail. He shut the window quickly and walked in. Looking me over, he began to immediately treat my wounds with a small Field Medic kit. I passed out from pain shortly afterword, but awoke several hours later. The barricade had been greatly improved and now a group of five survivors stood in the place. The man who helped me was not among them. I was feeling great, better than I had in a long time, so I made my way back to Pegton before stopping in this Railway Station for a breather. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Massacre
Date: 21:52:12, 09/20/2007
Report: It’s a massacre! St. Matthew’s is overrun with some twenty or more of the creatures! I’ve travelled here in the last two hours, and could hardly believe my eyes! Everything is overturned and a large number of the creatures remain inside and out. I took refuge in a nearby NecroTech Office, but the site! I can’t believe it… ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Reclamation
Date: 14:21:15, 09/21/2007
Report: St. Matthew’s has been reclaimed! A group of survivors apparently fought off the undead inside and barricaded it, ensuring its place again. I sent out a thread on this PDA to all members of the Staff I added, but again the technical difficulties refuse me from knowing if it worked. I moved back to the hospital and tried to help with the process a little. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Movement
Date: 01:27:13, 11/06/2007
Report: Again St. Matthew's has fallen. I was nearly killed, escaped to another nearby hospital, and began to see if I could wrap up my wounds. After that I moved on for a while, traveling until I could find a secure location to research. I hadn't been able to transmit lately, with how I've been doing nothing but traveling and sleeping, but now that I've arrived at my new research location I will recontinue transmissions. My haven is called Fort Creedy, an old military barracks that has been massively converted into the human's safehold for survival. ---Prof. Charles Latirus

Subject: Worries
Date: 16:32:30, 12/14/2007
Report: I've been living at Ford Creedy and visiting the sorrounding hospitals and NecroTech center for over a month now, and I've started to hear about a horde of the undead approaching from the south. It seems to have been nicknamed the Big Bash, but I'm not sure of the source. I'm going to try and stick around for as long as I can to research the intelligence of grouping these creatures seem to show. ---Prof. Charles Latirus
