From the shadows a man steps forward.

"Many years ago I was known by another name. I was a doctor in London. Respected and with friends and family that loved me. Those days are long gone now though and good riddance to them. I was a weakling. A simpering intellectual that thought only of others and of bettering the world. As I allowed myself to become the man you see before you I found myself outcast by my peers and hunted for minor crimes. A little light theft, a murder or two. I was forced to fake my own death to escape the unjust punishment that was intended for me. I left London and travelled the world. Stopping anywhere that offered entertainment for someone with my tastes. The years passed and I realised I had not aged. My experiments back in London had done more to me than I realised. At first I thought of it as a blessing but as the years and then the decades went on I found myself growing weary of my usual distractions. Then I heard of something new. A place where someone such as I could indulge himself without fear of reprisal and with no limit to the number of times, previously I always had to move on before I overindulged myself and drew too much attention. I realised Malton, a city of victims from an innocent civilian to hulking undead beasts, where death is the norm, was a place I could call home."
