Signatures are meant to display the user name, a link to that user's page and, sometimes, provide useful links to pages associated to that user. Recently we had a problem with a user who used the flag of a country/group in his signature, which were pretty annoying and most users told him to stop using it. Mia has been using an image as his signature for a really long time, whitout people complaing. Two rulings for the same matter ?

With this policy i want any images to just be forbidden from being linked inside the signature of a user. This is meant to avoid chaos and clutter on both the visual style of the wiki, as in the code for pages where the user signs. --hagnat mod 03:10, 30 May 2006 (BST)

this is just a draft for this policy, please discuss it on the talk page.
