The New Barricade Plan

The Barricade Plan has been updated since the old plan did not reflect how survivors were barricading in Starlingtown, leading to new (and not so new) players frequently dying in the street or succumbing to infection because they couldn't obtain FAKs due to over-cading. The new plan was drafted by the members of the South Paynterton Aces, currently the main (only) organized group in Starlingtown, after observing the normal practices in the suburb. It's main goals are to streamline revives and make Starlingtown more newbie friendly. If you have any comments/suggestions, please feel to voice them here. --Duncan Thaw 16:50, 4 July 2009 (BST)

Actually, for some time, since roughly the beginning of the year, Buller Boulevard School has been VSB and the Woolven Motel has been EHB. Hopefully, the barricades at the motel haven't been coming down due to the Aces. We haven't given a specific location on the wiki page, but you're not the only organized group in the area. ;) --Queen Mum 20:02, 4 July 2009 (BST)
Yeh, I'd hope that the barricade plan would have been made with the actual consultation of those that actualy stay in the buildings designated. Not that we've been in the area for about a year or anything ;) --Turner Calton 20:06, 4 July 2009 (BST)
@Queen Mum: Glad we're not alone in the fair burb! I wish we'd known about you sooner so we could have involved you in the barricade plan before posting it. But there's no time like the present so feel free to weigh in now. Your more than welcome to drop by our forums: tinyurl.com/29h8ol. Yeah, we've noted Buller as EP. And, of course, we wouldn't be attacking Woolven Motel's barricades :D If you'd like that or any other building changed, please feel free to do so.
@Turner Calton: No offence was intended ;). We were hoping that the consulation/debate could occur here or, as I said above, we always welcome other groups on our forums. I agree with this being an awkward way of putting forward a plan but it would've have been pretty hard to take a consensus of oppinion throughout the burb in-game, given that there are 56 buildings in Starlingtown and you guys hadn't advertised your presense (though I'm very glad to know of you now :D). It would have taken a pretty long time to get responses from even a portion of the population, which is a largely nebulous concept in UD anyway. We felt that since the old plan had been out of use and unmonitored for a long time there would be no harm in at least suggesting a provisional one. If you've got any suggestions we're happy to hear them. ;)--Duncan Thaw 21:12, 5 July 2009 (BST)
Cheers, Duncan. No, we're pretty low profile and I just noticed this in the wiki changes and thought we should speak up. Thanks for being so flexible on this point (not everyone would be). I understand about trying to get a consensus on such things, especially when you are more or less the most visible and active group in the area (and "in game" would be difficult). One thing that drew us to Starlingtown was the fact that it's low on politics, so it's nice to see you're a welcoming group. (And Turner's just a little snarky ;) We've run across groups that aren't as open to discussion.) --Queen Mum 22:26, 5 July 2009 (BST)
