Expanded Manifesto

The Hyper-Umbrella Corporation was formed out of Umbrella and Neo Umbrella to continue scientific endeavors for the future of Malton and its current surviving populace so that once the zombie virus incursion was cleaned out, Malton would not be left behind. However, while the quarantine is in effect, nothing is getting in or out; what this means is, if Malton wants to come back to life without the walls anymore, the people of Malton will have to clean house themselves. Introducing new scientific procedures, new weapons, and much more benefiting technology, will help end the Quarantine that has surrounded Malton. This isn't to say Hyper-Umbrella is going to give everyone a safe home again, but Hyper-Umbrella is going to do what it can to fix the viral menace by any means.

Hyper-Umbrella's motto is "The only thing that can defeat power, is more power," a phrase once uttered by Albert Wesker. Though a man that many can respect or hate, he always had truth in his voice, and his brain, however evil, was one of the greatest for knowledge.

Stay Alive

If a member of Hyper-Umbrella falls infected or ill, please seek medical attention immediately. If you can't find it in time, broadcast your location. Someone will find you.

Communicate

In order for anyone to do anything, we must keep each other informed at all times. Even ahead of time when able to.

Membership Requirements

Anyone may join any position available for new members. Some of which are Field Operatives (Engineers, Scientists, Soldiers), Lab Specialists (Scientists, Doctors, Security), Hyper-Umbrella Mercenaries, and Lab Experiments (Inquire within).

To join, apply in the Recruitment section of the Application Center of our Forum. As a member of H-UC, it is your duty to carry out any mission you are given in the best way possible. Scarring the reputation of H-UC is ill-advised.

Requirements for Leadership Position

As a full employee of Hyper-Umbrella, it isn't hard to obtain a Managerial position. However, for higher positions, a vote by higher personnel is required. Sometimes by all acting Managers, as well.

Other leadership roles are assigned based on experience, activity and character.

Chain of Command

  • President/CEO
Acting leader of H-UC.
  • The Purple Queen may take over if the Acting President and Acting Vice President are missing until a new President is voted in
  • Vice President
Acting Vice President should the acting President's position is needed to be replaced.
  • Executive Directors
H-UC members within acting counsel with higher abilities.
  • Department Heads
H-UC members staffed with being in charge of a section.
  • Managers
Respected members of H-UC with light authority.
  • Employees
Base Membership of H-UC.

Barricading Policy

By default, any building designated as "Very Important" by Hyper-Umbrella are to be barricaded at max EHB. Rarely are there exceptions. There must always be an entrance set to max VSB for these buildings.

Tagging Policy

Officers should consider the following guidelines when using a spray can:

  • Do not paint over H-UC tags, except with new H-UC tags.
  • If you see a H-UC tag that has been painted over, replace it.
  • Tags outside H-UC property; don't be inconsiderate and write over others people tags if their tags are for real.

Headquarters

Hyper-Umbrella's base of operations is referred to as their Headquarters. It consists of all the buildings within the 3 by 3 blocks and including the center of these blocks. Except for the Acourt Arms.

  • Only the buildings are listed in the operational area.

As it should be noted, there may come a time for F.O.B.'s (Forward Operating Bases) or Field Labs. But only does the Hyper-Umbrella Headquarters need it's own official plastering. As if it fell, Hyper-Umbrella may just as well fall.

H-UC Stances

Player Killing (PKing)

Hyper-Umbrella mostly frowns upon Player Killing unless there is a full and justifying reason behind it. -Bounty Hunting for an individual who committed unlawful acts -Revenging on someone for committing a murder on someone the avenger knows -Self-Defense -Other lawful reasons

H-UC members are not to engage with these likely hostile individuals unless a few things are met;

  • The subject has committed crimes that affect Hyper-Umbrella in serious ways.
  • The subject attacks H-UC personnel or an ally nearby.

Otherwise, use the Rules of Engagement.

(Below is partially copied/continued from use of DHPD's rules as the attributes are strong and explain enough in that re-wording would also be silly and possibly insulting)

Zerging and Alts

Hyper-Umbrella permits only a single character from an individual to join.

Obviously for the games rules, an individuals alts may not be near each other or interact with one another..

Alts within allied and enemy groups are permitted, provided they remain outside the Base of Operations. Alts shall not be extensions of H-UC to enforce/execute H-UC policies outside our area.

Alts are not subject to the same policies, procedures, or protections as H-UC members. However alts are expected to respect rules set out by Kevan Davis concerning collaboration between characters. We consider this to be a player, not a character, issue.

We do not like to interfere with the internal running of allied groups and are, in general, happy to be allied to any pro-survivor group that does not, itself, indulge in zerging. However, where a group contains a player, (note we are here interested in player, not character, behavior) who indulges in blatant zerging and promotes and supports other zergers, we reserve the right to limit and, if necessary, terminate the alliance if this is drawn to our attention. Such players are not welcome as liaisons to our forums.

Members shall refrain from sharing information gained from their membership in outside groups. Likewise, sensitive information on H-UC activities shall not be shared with other organisations.

Zombie Spying

Hyper-Umbrella does not warrant or take action against survivors for activities considered to be 'spying' for zombie groups, provided it does not have a strong affect against H-UC.

Offensive Language

Hyper-Umbrella does not tolerate the use of offensive racist, sexist (or any other -ist) language. We will not recruit anyone with such language in their character name, forum name, group affiliation or profile. We will not ally with anyone with such language in their character name, forum name, group affiliation or profile. We will not hold talks with anyone with such language in their character name, forum name, group affiliation or profile.

We quite enjoy it when our enemies drop by and talk to us. But we aren't interested in playing with people who feel the need to be blatantly unpleasant and hurtful to real people who are playing the game.

Complaint Resolution

The first step in resolving a conflict is to address the issue with the other individual(s) involved. If this fails, please bring the matter to our attention at the H-UC Forum.

Wiki Policy

Only members of H-UC holding a position of Executive Director or higher may edit H-UC wiki pages. If a serious call for concern is needed for any kind of urgent dispute, please contact either the current acting Vice President or President until an official representative is found for H-UC.

Red Mage.gif Roleplaying Notice
Notice: This User or Group enjoys the RPG aspect of MMORPGs, the category of games that Urban Dead falls into. As such, there is probably quite a bit of roleplaying and/or creative writing on this page and in said User/Group's in-game actions. In other words, if you think the difference between IC and OOC is "One has an 'I' and the other has two 'O's," buzz off.

Recognition
It has been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. With that in mind, we wish to recognize the source that was used in creating this group. This group design was greatly influenced by the design of Dunell Hills Police Department. Thank you.
