Basically, we don't edit other user's posts, because you wouldn't want someone changing what you wrote into something that you would never say (for example, changing your suggestion to be nothing but swear words). If you want your own templated sig, then you could add a forward slash after your username and create your own. Otherwise, just use the ~~~~ after you are done with your comment.
