Midnight in the Streets of Malton is a song composed by Specialist290 to the tune of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, by the Beatles. It was composed during a late-night chat session w/ Tovarisch Khruschev, who was able to help the author past a tough spot during its composition by suggesting that he "make a word" where none seemed to fit.

The song concerns itself with the nightly wanderings of an individual through the streets of Malton, particularly with two encounters with a young girl who apparently helps to maintain a revive point.

Lyrics

Midnight in the Streets of Malton
(to the tune of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," by the Beatles)

Picture yourself by a church beside Caiger
Surrounded by zombies beneath a dark sky.
Someone appears and you "Mrh" at her slowly;
A girl with luceferant* eyes...
Fluorescent moonbeams of yellow and green
Drift along into your head--
Look for the girl with the magic revives
And she's gone...

Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Oooooooh!

Follow her trail down the streets to a passage
That leads to a room filled with marshmallow pies--
Everyone stares as you run through the buildings
That grow so incredibly high...
Suddenly zombies appear at the door,
Fighting to drag you away--
Try to fight back, but your body goes limp
And you're gone...

Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Oooooooh!

Waking up in an abandoned train station
Surrounded by people with bright yellow ties.
Suddenly you feel a jab on your shoulder--
The girl with luceferant eyes...

Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Midnight in the streets of Malton,
Oooooooh!

*repeat to fade*

*Luceferant - from Latin "lucere: to shine." Bad Latin, but hey, it fits...
