This is another formal request for Kevan to update the MediaWiki software that is the backbone of the Urban Dead Wiki. As it stands, the MediaWiki software is over two years old. We are running version 1.9.3, this policy requests that Kevan updates the wiki to the current (stable) version, 1.15.4.
This new release has a few years worth of bugfixes and new features, such as expiry dates on page protectinos, finer control over permissions, ability to merge page histories and image undeletion to be enabled by default. There are likely more features that I have missed.
It is also requested, that in the event of a software update, the pseudo-namespace Guides: is turned into a proper namespace, and that the Semi-protection policy is implemented (which is not possible in the version of software that we are using.)
