Operation Band-Aid is an effort to discuss and generate a series of policies that create a legitimate endgame and worthwhile gameplay experience for Survivors, without appealing to Kevan to change the rules drastically in our favor. After all, this is a Zombie Apocalypse, right? No whining:)

Some preliminary suggestions to get the ball rolling:

  • Let's crunch numbers to find the greatest concentration of resource buldings and most defendable places in Malton. These should be survivor Meccas. To that end, I scraped the maps on the wiki to generate a list of all the cityblocks, with their 'burbs and coords. [1]
  • Let's figure out some clever ways to use killed-in-action survivors to spy and cause chaos within the attacking hordes rather than standing around at RPs while surrounding buildings are trashed.
  • Let's come up with an updated policy on Combat Revives to reflect their currently high cost. This might involve creating a small team strategy with each member filling a different role. However you feel about CR, talk about revivification will be crucial to any pro-survivor endgame.
  • Let's talk a lot in game! Talking and RP make the game fun! The ability to speak is our only true gift as harmanz!

The only rule change for which we should appeal to Kevan

  • Some people want 0-AP speech, I think this is too big of an advantage. Perhaps raising the character limit slightly on the radio broadcasts would be enough to tip the scales in our favor again.

Until more than a handful of people comment on this idea, feel free to discuss the possibilites and your feelings right here on the front page. As the conversation grows, it should be moved to the talk page. Capsid 20:19, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
