Meaningless Currency - but not as you think

Re - I might write a revision, but I'll leave this up so more people can vote "hey - don't take away my meaningless, pointless currency that I can't spend on anything". --Funt Solo QT 00:44, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

I think you may be ignoring the point that XP cost is pretty meaningless to high level characters even if they DON'T have a huge stash of XP. You can earn 75-150 XP pretty fast, within a week at most of the introduction of a new skill. Unless a LOT of new skills are introduced, the suggestion makes very little difference to the game, and potentially annoys people. So yes, XP is a meaningless currency to high level characters- because its so easy to earn enough to buy a skill that the cost is essentially meaningless even if you have 0 xp currently. But as a rough indicator of character activity relative to age, it is not so meaningless. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 01:34, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
No, I realise all that. What about the idea of transferring all extra XP (above what you need to max out your character with all current skills) to a new value, Prestige? (Was it you that suggested that, anyway?) However, here's another thing - how about changing the XP system so that the XP you earn as a survivor can only be spent on survivor skills, and XP earned as a zombie only for zombie skills? Just an idea. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 22:12, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Not a bad idea. It'd encourage play as a zombie more often. When I played with my pro-Harman guys, I just bought all the Zmob!e skills with the XP I gained defending. I actually think I'd vote keep on that idea...-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
