Some are NecroTech Buildings and can be identified by the "[NT]" appended to their name if you have the NecroTech Employment skill. Office buildings are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used. Office buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

A narrow metal-and-glass building with a collapsed roof. Built in the style that was so typical of the late 20^th century, the Emberson Building still bears the logo's and marks of a decade of occupation by several different companies. Since the outbreak, most of them have left.

History

Pre-Malton Outbreak

Up until the 20th century, the site was part of the large farmlands. Industrialization reduced it to a dump, which was sanitized and sold in the early 90's. Commissioned in 1994 by the Aldershot Hampshire based Emberson & Co. and finished in 1995, this four-story building was rented to 3 different companies:

• Dakerstown Accounting Co. occupied the ground floor, using it for customer support, as well as the second floor, which provided shelter to the administrative department and archives.
• Devonshire Holdings rented the third floor, although they never used it for anything else than storage space.
• The Pearson & Mauritz Law Firm had their offices on the top floor.

Post-Malton Outbreak

Due to its remote location from the Malton city center, Ivyleafe Row Police Department has been kind of neglected ever since the outbreak. Below is a short timeline of the events following the Malton Incident, please add new items to the top.

• January-February, 2012: The building is safe and the occasional survivor passing by reports no activity.
• September-December, 2011: Despite a rebuilding attempt, the Emberson Building ends the year in ruins.
• June-August, 2011: The building is considered safe, without much excitement besides the occasional zombie attack.
• January-May, 2011: After a period of relative safety (after all, this is a zombie outbreak), the Emberson building falls into (dead) zed hands.
• September-December, 2010: The building has been ransacked over and over again, the dead roam free throughout the ruins.
• April-August, 2010: Trevor Gorge reports the building to be safe, but dirty. Lighting up the place late August apparently wasn't the best idea, since you could actually see the mess the passing hordes had created in the past.

The Emberson Building is to be kept Extremely Heavily Barricaded at all times.
