Captain Leah, History

The Beginning

In Shore Hills, he was a pushover. In Shore Hills, he became a legend. Once a captain in the Shore Hills Local Police, Leah was cut off from his unit while escorting survivors to the still-open gaps in the quarintine fences. A squad of ad-hoc zombies smashed into the convoy, slaying civilians and policemen indiscriminatly. Pistols fired as the squad bravely tried to hold off the enroaching foe, but when the smoke cleared, the zombies were the ones left standing.

Left for dead with a wound in his skull, Captain Leah remained unconcious for a full day under the rapidly decomposing body of one of his fellow officers. When he came to, he was barely alive. He managed to crawl into a safehouse nearby, thus beginning a recovery process which lasted three weeks. During his time in the Cake Building, he met friends and made new ones, but the building fell on the fourth week to several ferals operating in the area.

Now, he had lost his friends a second time. After scavenging a flare gun and am axe from the ruins of the surrounding neighborhood, the captain set off through the world. His gun fired less and less frequently as his ammunition dwindled. Finally, it ran out. Fighting his way through the masses of zombies closing about him, he staggered to the Brennand Building, where he spent a further three weeks, training, recuperating, and learning how to fit into the new way of life.

Through word of mouth, he began to hear about the legendary Caiger Mall. The thought came to him to go there, and go there he did. Though killed twice en route, he made it in, leaping roofs from St. Isodores to Caiger. Thus began the second phase of his life in post-destruction Malton.

The Fight for Malton

After weeks of training, he was ready to strike out again. Venturing to Ackland, he participated in the struggle there, trying unsuccessfully to use his six radio transmitters he had hauled at the cost of priceless syringes and shotgun ammunition (not to mention pistol clips and FAKs) to establish a permanent link to Caiger. When all but one gave out, he shouldered his remaining weapons and using what shells and clips he had left proceeded to wreak havoc on the northwest corner of the mall, ravaging the zombie population outside. When his supplies gave out at long last after a week-long struggle to stay in the mall, Leah was forced out for want of supplies.

It was here he met Ron Burgandy, abliet, his corpse. He remembered the name from survivor newspapers and lectures, and noted it.

A month later, he joined the Channel 4 Newsteam, lending his firepower and wit (not to mention his beloved transmitter, one of the masses of them out there that he has carried for over two months) to their cause of Glorious Battle.

Long afterwards, after campaigns throughout Yagoton, a return to Ackland, and ferocious fighting in the City Zoo (we flipped off the monkeys, doncha know), Leah ventured into the reaches of the Blackmore Building. Upon watching the survivor count dwindle while zombie numbers swelled outside, he stood onen day upon one of the desks, and called, "DAMNIT, HOLD THE LINE! STAND FIRM HERE!" Many listened. The Blackmore became a fortress, the capital for the region of the Greater Blackmore. After a week or two of this seige, the captain joined up with the Malton Postal Service, running a transmitter delivery (his old one had broken at last), and serving as media relations. When the Blackmore fell, he stood to fight again at Ackland, sounding the last evacuation calls.

One day, he vows to return to Shore Hills and take back his office in his old department building. But until that day, he waits, trains, jokes, and takes his revenge on the unrelenting hordes of zombies.

Tactics

Not a distrubted defense follower, Leah tends to go down with his safehouse, falling with all guns blazing. He enjoys tactical manuvers and dodges about and freeruns often in order to mask his presence. He also likes to hang around Radio Transmitters and often sends messages with his callsign, CaL6-. He sends all emergency messages with the callsign CaL06-.

Notable Events

The Blackmore Building

10/13/06- Captain Leah became a matyr and somewhat famous at the Blackmore Building for making his stand.

PKer Duel

??/??/2006- Captain Leah battled a PKer who had made the unfourtunate mistake to attack him while he was online. This seemingly minor incident escalated into a gunfight which ended in the PKer fleeing and through a stroke of luck being found by Leah, who quickly killed him with two pistol bullets. Serverely injured, he found medical attention as soon as he could. This was when he learned to abide by the survivor adage of always keeping a FAK handy.

Personality

Kind and generous, the captain nevertheless has a volitile temper and has been reported to go off suddenlly and shoot guns at random. Though not worthy of a straightjacket (yet), this may be a simple way of relieving stress.

He had many friends, but almost all were killed in the initial rampage of the zombies through the unprotected neighborhoods.

Captain Leah's Latest Report

November 4th, 2006

Waiting and stocking up for the return to Blackmore. I'm also planning on stopping to revive a friend en route. I'll be a bit late to the party, just so y'know. ---Captain Leah- 03:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
