Saved by the C Whitty - The Pro Survivor Years

I felt obligated after the recent change to how I play the game to put my thoughts on record and to give some sort of written journal covering this early period. I have actually left it a little longer than I should have done really and this has left me with quite a long initial first entry but further entries hopefully will not be so boring for the reader if there are any.

I had felt since early to mid 2009 that I was bored with pking and that this side of the game was finished in terms of further accomplishment, but I still kept my contacts and surveillance running on individuals for certain times when the buzz came back. I started a number of quests across Malton but in truth boredom began to slip in on each one, of course I oversaw the Red Shirts tactically but never physically got involved in operations. I realised that on a few occasions I had perhaps overstepped the mark in my personal behaviour, on one or two occasions excitement caused me to verbally overstep the mark with The Fortress and my protection of a certain bounty hunter whilst good willed was probably unfair on said character as it perhaps reduced an element of danger for them which they had not asked for. I do not feel the need to apologise for what I have done as I hope my future actions will underline the repent of my sins.

So I made a decision to resign as "head of The Red Shirts" and I recommended dismantling of group and of characters (they were attracting heavy resistance from locals) and if they wished they could restart under a new banner. Initially this was a success but a recent meeting with Harry Paget Flashman in Pashenton suggests they plan to rise up again (with nothing to do with me!) More to follow later on this.

I started what I coined one final quest, a quest to find a new home and a group that would take me. I made a decision after a few pit stops to enter into Pashenton and once again attack the Reapers, what grabbed me to do this I am unsure but perhaps it was one final fling, I entered conflict with Northboundsnow a very durable warrior and finally with Always Late leader of the Reapers. A few days later Always Late very kindly offered me a home with the warriors of Pashenton TROG a chance to amend my ways and to seek a new future within Urban Dead which I gratefully accepted.

Of course TROG are unable to protect me from bounty hunters - this I understand, I have a bounty and will continue to be killed by them until my bounty is zero, my crimes deserve this and after a bounty has been claimed I do try to find said bounty hunter and thank them for reducing my bounty and then explain my change and where my location will be for future bounty claims - by the way this is Rawkins PD Pashenton.

This leads me nearly to current events, the life of a pro survivor is more challenging than a pker perhaps less exciting but for me more fulfilling, I do have the skill Brain Rot and this does make life a little more difficult but I do have a very good Rot Revive centre at the James Building in the suburb to my left and they have always promptly returned me to human form, and after such an occasion I returned to Rawkins with the air filled with tension and some fear.

Rumours abounded that a large zombie horde was heading our way, scouts advised that Santlerville was in dire trouble and the Ayliffe building (neighbouring PD) was also under seige, I myself scouted lightly around neighbouring areas and indeed reports were accurate a number of buildings were in ruin to the South and East the North looked strong with a number of survivors having pulled back to move out of the front line of the next wave of attacks, I did not scout the West which in hindsight was a mistake as not knowing Raines Hills was in ruin I did not fully appreciate the gravity of the situation and I felt that the impending doom scenario was a little dramatic, Rawkins was well staffed and we were I felt capable of holding off the current mobs in the area (none numbered more than 10-15) after a trip to Ayliffe to help cades and a few injured I returned to Rawkins needing a good sleep. In the last 48 hours some had mentioned retreating to the dark buildings nearby, my master declined this naming a desire to hold the building a decision I agreed with and still do, truces were called with pkers in the local vicinity and whilst I slept the zombies struck.

I awoke with the building in ruin, all allies dead and 14z still in the vicinity, I trooped over to the Jack Building to await a revive. This was also in ruin and I was disturbed at the lifelessness of the area, 5 days I waited for a revive and I presumptously expected Pashenton to be back up and running more or less, but as I entered I realised matters had deteriorated significantly - all buildings were ruined and my initial survey found no survivors.

During these early moments I made a number of mistakes, I decided that I would try to act as a revive unit for my comrades and other survivors and this I initially did, I would travel to the Lance building scramble for syringes, head to the the cemetery and revive then hide in a nearby ruined building, after doing this for a number of days, I found a caded building with 2 survivors later entering (one which I had revived) they were infected and very low on HP, I realised that I had should be FAK reviving, ie using a fak on the zombie then reviving it. The 2 survivors were in no state to obtain their own FAKS therefore I told them to wait where they were and I would be back in 12 hours.

I checked the map of the suburbs, nearby was St Seraphim's which was ruined, it made sense to me to try to find an active hospital so I headed to St Herman's in Rolt Heights, My AP was dangerously low though and I needed to find a safe haven mid journey, I chose Club Brien. Inside Club Brien were two survivors seemingly having the same idea as myself, the club was ruined and in its darkened state you would be unlikely to be killed if found by one zombie perhaps even two, but what concerned me the most was that one of the survivors was a Knights Templar.

Many months previous I had made battle with this group and they placed an APB on myself, it really was quite a funny situation whereby they sent out radio requests for my sightings and I tuned into their frequencies and gave dummy sightings! Anyway I made my case to this fellow explaining my new found survivor spirit and my mission of mercy, to my surprise he responded positively - I slept safe for a few hours.
