About Me as a Player

In general, I tend to roleplay my characters which means, practically, that they may waste precious AP for:

  • doing things useful to others (if my character finds them sympathetic)
  • barking orders at your characters
  • swearing
  • passing a beer (I wish this suggestion was implemented)
  • sharing information
  • or even make casual conversation.

Character Description

Epicure believes the Tetrapharmakon, or 4-part cure for the soul, applies in both life and unlife:

  • Don't fear god,
  • Don't worry about death;
  • What is good is easy to get, and
  • What is terrible is easy to endure

- Epicure (341BC - 270BC)

This means, for zambah:

  • Don't fear god,
  • Don't worry about living again;
  • What is good is easy to get (brains!), and
  • What is terrible is easy to endure (axed? ankle grab!!)

My main (and only for now), Epicure, is a follower of the Dual Nature policy, not affiliated to any group. When alive, he will do his possible to survive, but when undead, he will do anything for brain.

He will spend experience depending on his current goals/items if alive, or instantly on 100XP if undead.

Finally, as a zambah he will ignore most complex information learnt while alive. Please note, location of high concentrations of fresh brains is NOT considered a complex information...

Katthew's Zombie Improvements should be incorporated into Urban Dead.

I aggree: being a zed is not as fun as being alive. Katthew's suggestion for Empty buildings could be paired with the "sense life" ability, and the effects on survivors crowds should be beautiful to watch! It's a bit pointless to try and get the zeds organised IMO, this is more of a thing for survivors to team up as in horror movies. Just make the zeds a little more powerful and fearsome.

On the XP sources, I particularly like the note about Below: sharing your dinner with others should be generously rewarded with XP, in the same way healing others is rewarded for survivors. Make it social.

Finally I love the horde benefits idea (Protection)! Although I would make the benefits suggested slightly different. I would call that Flesh Flood or something, and balance it with the number of survivors present in the same location. So, if the difference is 20+ in favour of the zombies, I would grant them some sort of fear bonus to disorganise the survivors... It would make normally trivial skills like FAKing or reloading your gun subject to a random throw or fail (and importantly, waste the ammo/fak if you failed...), in the same way as barricading. Increase that malus if there are more zeds around (flood effect). Maybe balance with a Cold blood survivor skill (under Zombie Hunter) which negates partially the malus (halves?). That should only be available after even more levels than headshot. Also, forget about the stand up rule for 1AP which I find hard to justify.

Oh, and did I mention about the 5 AP base rebuild rules? Simple, fair and logical, these should be applied already.
