Laura was a hard-working NecroTech employee, before she figured out what was REALLY going on. Due to working front desk, she was unaware that there were very sinister goings-on behind her back. And apon discovery that their next target for experimentation was herself, she quit. Or, she would have, but they would have killed her. She grudgingly worked at the front desk still, until she was knocked out. Waking up later in an abandoned lab, she found herself alone. Her journal was blank, and so was her blog. Did someone wipe all of her memories out? She could still remember her past, and her family... But that was about it.
