This is an example for the Remove Clips/Shells suggestion.

Example

This is in your inventory, among various other things:

Pistol (4), Pistol (5), Pistol (5), Pistol (4).

You can click on the pistol (4), which removes its ammo and puts it in a partial clip.

Pistol (0), Pistol (5), Pistol (5), Pistol (4), Partial clip (4).

Then the pistol (5).

Pistol (0), Pistol (0) Pistol (5), Pistol (4), partial clip (3), Pistol clip.

Now the other pistol (5).

Pistol (0), Pistol (0) Pistol (0), Pistol (4), Partial clip (2), Pistol clip, Pistol clip.

Finally, you can click on the pistol (4).

Pistol (0), Pistol (0), Pistol (0), Pistol (0), Pistol clip, Pistol clip, Pistol clip.

Now if you had other fully-loaded pistols, you could drop these empties and would have the fully-loaded pistols you had, and more clips.
