Because I can't post it in my description, I link here.

How to not accidentally revive PKers:

The DEM keeps a fairly comprehensive* and up to date list of PKers at the Rogues Gallery: http://ud-malton.info/Rogues_Gallery

By using the search option at the bottom you can verify that the zombie you just scanned is not a PKer.

A note on the search engine: It is picky about ID/name/comment. Psychotic Pantomime, ID #1222877, has a sizable bounty. If you search by ID for "1222877" then you'll find him. If you search by ID for "Psychotic Pantomime" or "psychotic" or "pantomime" you will not find him, even though any of those three would work if you were searching by name.

Another way, which requires Firefox, is to use an addon and a list from the Rogues Gallery to automatically color any PKers name red and put a number (their bounty) on mouse over. This allows rapid verification of PKer/innocent status. Here's how to set it up:

  • On the fourth line is a button labeled "UD Tool list". Click it and download. (It's compatible with UDWidget as well.)
  • -You can also just hit enter; the button will be selected by default when you open the page.
  • Restart Firefox.
  • Go to Tools/udWidget Options... and then click on the "Import Groups and Names" button.
  • You may need to restart Firefox again.

A note regarding Rogues Gallery:

I will note that the Rogues Gallery can have what I consider to be false positives; for example, someone who kills a PKer/zerg that isn't yet recognized by the DEM as such might be on the Rogues Gallery, at least temporarily. It's a problem I find particularly bothersome when out bounty hunting. This does not render it useless, however, just slightly more time consuming. If someone is not on the RG list then they are probably not a PKer, or at least not a very effective one, and you can revive them. If they are on the list, you can look them up on the Rogues Gallery and click on "details" to see a list of their kills (including screenshots and links to the forum post where they were reported) and decide for yourself whether or not they're a homicidal maniac.

Kudos to Schiz0, for stealing my kill. Damn those generator search odds.
