Maybe make it required, and add the one post per 24's that is currently on the suggestions page to the talk page. only one suggestion up for discussion, or its auto-deleted, and it must remain for 24 hours or 48 or something before going to suggestions. if the response is over-negative, the author must post an edit and it resets the counter to allow posting in the suggestions page. thus, blake couldn't continually post a new one every day to stock the pond, so to speak.

I don't know how you'd enfore the "overly negative response" thing... I think you just have to leave that alone... However, a ''requirment'' to post all Suggestions to Talk:Suggestions for, say, 48 hours before it gets voted on woul;d be reasonable. I mean people can just ignore comments, but it slows the process down, and allows input... Then there is NO exuse for whining when an idea gets shot down in voting. None.

Then, anti-spam rules need to be in place. Actually, that's easy -- it just follows the procedure for the removal of spam votes as used in the voting suggestion. If it's a troll comment, it gets removed. Negative comments, being a jerk, that's not trolling -- if you're actually adressing the suggestion somehow. "Zombie Lord is a fag" ''is'' trolling... "This suggestion is retarded" is not a valid comment. "This suggestion is a retarded and overpowered survivor buff, why don't you fucking go away, alreadt", however, ''is'' a legit comment... not a nice one, but legit...

Not that worried about the format. Throw new stuff down at the bottom, sign it. I'll get rid of stuff as I see fit.

Tyler

Just to say thanks for the feedback, if there's anything wiki based you need help with, let me know. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:58, 1 August 2008 (BST)

Great Job

I've noticed you go from being a new user (and to be perfectly honest a little bit of a n00b), to being a well-learned member of the community with a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of Conduct, Reasoning, and Suggestions Protocol. As such, I am going to make you a Template. It's what I do. =P Techercizer (Food) (TSoE) 05:11, 2 August 2008 (BST)

Mall Information Center

I appreciate the work you've been doing to keep the MIC up-to-date! However, please wait to change a mall's status to Unknown until two weeks have passed since the last update. Thanks, and have a great day! --Pedentic 04:22, 8 August 2008 (BST)

cycling suggestions

i recommend leaving a contested dupe for the sysops to cycle out.

however, anyone can cycle out spaminated suggestions. just watch to make sure they have been up for 6 hours! i made that mistake once... also, you can add the templates and strike out humourous suggestions, edited suggestions etc. if you see them.

but i tend to leave the actual MOVING of the pages to someone else, because i don't really know how to do it... ;) --WanYao 05:20, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Talk:SuggestionsTemplate

Is where I've left my feedback.

I second the penguin template! --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 17:50, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Suggestion: Stop the Spam! ;)

  1. Spam - Where can we start a petition against suggestions that have no thought behind them? Can we make it so that you have to submit to the talk: discussion page 24 hours before hand? - tylerisfat 02:23, 28 August 2008 (BST)

Yeah... I've been thinking we need a policy like that. It'd have to go to discussion, then be voted on... But yeah I think you should HAVE to submit to Talk:Suggestions first. And, along with that, rules against trolling on that page. Hmmnn... --WanYao 06:06, 28 August 2008 (BST)

I mean people can just ignore comments, but it slows the process down, and allows input... Then there is NO exuse for whining when an idea gets shot down in voting. None.
