We Are Nice Guys, or WANG, is a group of people who hail from the Penny-Arcade forums. Currently situated in Mockridge Heights they strive to keep the zombie hordes at bay, wherever they may roam.
A Brief Overview
Who are WANG?
WANG is a group of geeks from the Penny Arcade forums. Some were members of PA Rebel Alliance but we have no official ties to that group and any of the drama associated with it.
Formation
P-A forum member Colt, known as thebrassthief in game, posted a thread about the game in the MMO subforum and a bunch of us decided the game was pretty cool. We quickly decided we needed to coordinate if we wanted to live for a longer period of time. We picked Scarletwood for a home base and all we needed was a name...
Leadership
The leadership model of our group is Mob Rule. Most decisions are put to a vote and talked about in the P-A forum thread. If we had a leader he wouldn't be listened to anyways, so it's better this way.
Alliances
None, though we are open to cooperating with other Survivors all around Malton. That being said, we tend to help friends more often than we help strangers, so it pays to get to know us before you come around with some crazy scheme that you need numbers to implement.
History
03-08-2009 - P-A forum member Colt posts the Urban Dead thread.
03-10-2009 - It is decided to move into Scarletwood and establish a home base in the Stark Building.
03-13-2009 - We Are Nice Guys becomes the official name.
03-20-2009 - WANG is secure in the Stark Building.
04-06-2009 - With the Mall Tour '09 incoming, WANG prepares for the worst...
04-07-2009 - The Mall Tour begins their first strikes into Scarletwood only blocks away from the WANG HQ.
04-12-2009 - With the Mall Tour gone and Scarletwood left a smoldering mess, WANG is scattered across several adjacent suburbs and feral zombies still roam the streets. Scarletwood is in a state of emergency.
04-20-2009 - With the Garniss Border Patrol fleeing to a nearby suburb until Scarletwood is ready to be reclaimed, the decision is made to evacuate WANG to the Mycock Building in Mockridge Heights permanently, abandoning Stark.
04-22-2009 - With a massive wave a jokes following us, WANG is officially settled into the Mycock Building.
Current Goals
- Consolidate survivors, revive zombie'd members - As most of us are just starting out, many are still far away from our new home.
- Level up - Most of us are low level.
- Maintain the local Barricade Plan.
