Blue Aegis Group/Roywood Pacification

The Roywood Pacification, also known as the Roywood Occupation was a paramilitary campaign aimed as stabilizing the Suburb of Roywood in the hopes of preventing radical elements within the suburb to export their activities to neighboring suburbs.

Prelude

The suburb of Roywood had for some time fallen into disrepair, a forgotten suburb tucked away near the corner of the city, usually ignored and overlooked by the larger Survivor groups and regularly patrolled by Extinction Zombies. The Suburb had recently been used by radical extremists as a base of operations. These extremists regularly staged expeditions into the nightboring suburbs of Dakerstown, Judgewood and Jensentown.

Intervention

The Blue Aegis Group deployed a small unit to evaluate, engage, and (if possible) exterminate the radical elements within the suburb. The Suburb was found to be in heavy disrepair at the time of the pacification. The Unit quickly located the insurgents from their base in the not-so-damaged southern areas of Roywood.

Combat Reports

After-Action Report: Week One
Ferrum Leo

We spotted the radicals in the southern half of the suburb. They appear to have a nice little camp
going on. They occupy seven buildings including a hospital, police department and a bank. They have
Police Dept powered and have a transmitter within it. We engaged on day 3, killing 4 out of the
estimated 5 hostiles. Their base of operations suffered minor damages as a result of our forces.

We hope to have the base completely destroyed by tomorrow.

After-Action Report: Week Two
Ferrum Leo

Our watchers at the revive points spotted two of the hostiles and alerted us, unfortunately we only
managed to kill one before the targets became active and we lost their locations. We've seen renewed
insurgent activity in the suburb and we are adjusting our tactics as the conflict progresses. We've
taken measures to improve our perceived authority in the region to deal with locals.

Status Report: Week Three
Ferrum Leo

As we enter our third week in this suburb, we're begining to feel as though the problem has been
contained. The insurgent activity has come to a standstill, the local resistance movement has
been fractured with mistrust and paranoia and the capability of the locals to acquire ammo has
become severely curtailed. We have made clear that we are resolved not accept raids upon the
neighboring suburbs, and that we will enforce that resolution by any means necessary I have
relayed my sentiments to others and we are contemplating a return to our well defended
positions before the pacification became into being.

Controversy

The Blue Aegis Group's conduct was overall quite positive and beneficial to the community of Roywood. In the 2nd and 3rd stages, the Blue Aegis Group did endeavor to damage the local nationalistic movement in the suburb through a number of means. The Group also developed what they have been marketing as Small Unit Counter Insurgency Tactics in the suburb, much to the detriment of the local population's efforts to rebuild Roywood.
