Thomas tapped on his brother's shoulder. There was a familiar sound coming from above, but something that had rarely been heard since the outbreak began. The two brothers were stood outside Jouxson cinema, where a small band of survivors had made a base of operations from where they would have supply runs. The Clarke brothers, both cops and both the pride of their families had just been to Burrell Way police station to grab some ammo.

Thomas pointed upwards "Ash, look" There was a helicopter circling above. "Maybe they've got supplies." He said "Or a really big rope ladder"Ash laughed. They had both become such pessimists. The helicopter hovered above. It was a news 'copter. Channel 16. They had been covering the Malton outbreak since the beginning, but more recently with increasing violence and the Malton architecture falling further into disrepair Channel 16 had began producing a television series "The City of Decay". Every now and then a helicopter would traverse the skies of Malton and capture the hell of the city on film. They would then show it on primetime television. "Lets give them something to film" said Ash. Thomas nodded. They caught the camera man's eye, or atleast thought they had and raised their middle fingers. "Fuck off you misery merchants!" bellowed Ash "You want something for your sick show, what about this" The brothers whipped out their 9mm's and fired into the air, somewhere else a shower of bullets would land and those around would surely be confused as to where they came from.

When the episode was aired the narrator would comment on the two unknown men firing at the helicopter for unknown reasons.

The Clarke brothers returned to Jouxson, content with themselves. They felt like bad asses and had a swagger to their walks. Down the road from Jouxson two zombies could be seen. The brother's looked at each other and headed down the road towards the zombies, having just added to their manly-ness they figured they'd go and destroy two shambling monsters, really show those c**ts at Channel 16 what life in Malton was like. With their guns already draw the brothers fired at the zombies, taking them down in a haze of gun fire and zombie body bits. The brothers didn't stop there, they poured round after round into the zombies and once they'd ran out proceded to kick whatever was left of the living corpses into pieces, all the while the helicopter whirred above them. Tom bent down and picked one of the zed's heads from the floor. He turned round and showed the cameras, grinning. He felt a tear, welling up in the corner of his eye. This is what the grim reality of Malton had become, entertainment for the masses outside the quarrantined city. Ash noticed Tom contemplating something, the tear in his eye, he was thinking the same thing. "Come on kid, lets go."

Back in Jouxson the few survivors had managed to set up a generator. And it was powering a film. After all the crap going on in their heads about how terrible life was in Malton, they couldn't believe that they were relaxing in the cinema with Dawn of the Dead on the big screen.
