I'm in pretty bad shape. I'm afraid the new team has suffered a grievous attack.

It started a couple of days ago. Several of the new team members never made it to the new HQ. They died en route and were soon wandering the streets as zombies.

But that's not the biggest problem. After the zombies started maneuvering, they continued on course for our HQ and began lingering outside. This attracted the attention of other zombies and a horde began to form.

I was oblivious to this until I went hunting yesterday. I encountered several clusters of zombies east and south of HQ. Each group was in a mass of seven or eight zeds each. I killed one of the armor wearing kind and moved on to the nearest museum.

I even rescued a few paintings while I was at it.

After a little rest, I moved toward the Skarin Row Police Department. I killed another zed outside that PD and went inside. I picked up a little ammo and returned to base.

But when I arrived, I discovered the mass of eight zombies outside. I was too tired to battle or even sneak inside. Instead, I spent the night in a warehouse nearby.

When I woke this evening, I moved into the HQ through the air-duct system and found that the barricades had fallen. There were four zeds inside and ten outside. At least four of the zombies outside were our people.

I looked at the old auto shop next door and found four bodies including "trapped", another of our squad members.

Outraged, I killed the first pair of zombies I encountered. They managed to get a few shots in, but I finished them in short order. A few blocks away, I dropped another one.

Then, as luck would have it, I stumbled across a Necro-Tech scientist. He had been cornered by the zombies. He was very grateful and filled me in on a few Necro-Tech procedures. Enough so that I might pass myself off as a security guard should the need ever arise.

He also explained how to use the syringe I picked up previously. This was the most useful detail yet. With it, I would be able to revive one of my team mates. I knew which one I should revive and raced back to HQ.

Unfortunately, the group was now 10 strong outside. I cornered my target, but the zeds mobbed me. I took an awful beating and believe I am infected again. I managed to slip into a different building and am resting.

I'm in a great deal of pain and have little hope for my survival. Those bastards tore the hell out of me. My only hope is to rest for another hour or so. Then I'm going to choose one of my former squad mates and revive him.

I have not come by this decision lightly. I know that I will almost certainly die in the process, but it is my hope that this one victim revived will have enough sense to refortify our base and revive the rest of us.

As I sit down to a dinner, surprisingly fresh rations scavenged from the warehouse stock, I've had to think about all that has transpired. Even since my last entry, much has happened. I've had several running battles with zombies and I've had a couple of days of exploration in this neighborhood.

When I finally met up with one of the other Concerned Citizens, DanoAcharn, he mentioned that the suburb was too crowded for a new squad. He was headed south into Dunningwood with some of the others. I spent the night to rest and would follow in the morning.

But I received a distress signal. DanoAcharn and the others had located a warehouse for the new Concerned Citizens HQ. However, zeds were approaching from three different fronts and the construction team had not yet arrived. The building was defenseless save for two men inside and one that became trapped a short distance away.

In spite of exhaustion, I moved down to the new HQ to aide in reinforcing it. We held the new base overnight and the construction crew finally arrived.

After that, we had to wait for the rest of the Concerned Citizens to regroup here. Even so, I began scouting the neighborhood for additional supplies. Unfortunately, I found that most of the local buildings were too fortified to enter. I had to spend a great deal of energy, just to find a safe entry point in an older building several blocks to the south.

Ironically, that building proved to be a Necro-Tech building. I picked up a syringe while inside, but I haven't figured out how to use it yet.

From there, I traveled into one of the nearest Police Departments and found a few scraps of ammo.

By now, the new HQ is very heavily fortified and we're using the neighboring buildings as entry points. Even so, some of the passers-by seem bent on over barricading the entries.

At this time, our HQ has a generator for power, a radio transmitter tuned to 27.78 MHz for communications, and we have started renovating the interior. The team is also now discussing team assignments and attempting to organize more clearly.

March 25, 2007 - 07:52

I'm a bit tired.

I woke in a cemetery in some suburb I've never been to previously. Not sure how I got there. But I had a badly infected bite mark on my arm.

I wandered around the neighborhood and eventually found a hospital. The local doctors took a blood sample and ran some tests. When the came back, they said I had been infected by the zombie virus.

They treated me and stitched my wound. I found out that I was in Sixtus General Hospital in Heytown.

During my stay, I found out that the community squad I've joined, called the Concerned Citizens, is assembling in the North East Quadrant.

Apparently, we're going to establish a squad HQ somewhere in Pescodside.

I did my best to rest, but the zombies came during the morning hours. There was a fight and a few people were hurt pretty badly, but we managed to hold the hospital.

Just the same, I was ready to find the rest of this new squad. I left the hospital after sunset.

Strangely, I feel that I somehow remember some of my old training. Like some part of this most recent blackout episode has unlocked old memories of stealth training.

I decided to try some of the techniques and found that I could maneuver through the suburbs more easily. Granted, there are a lot of air ducts involved.

Finally, I reached Pescodside in the early morning hours. I cut across the corners of two or three suburbs, but it was actually a fairly short trip. I picked up some ammo at the Groser Crescent Police Dept and am now resting in The Love Building.

It's full of hippies, but at least it's a fairly safe place to sleep.

Perhaps the weirdest part of this trip was that a reporter sought me out in the Love Building and interviewed me. He was asking about the Concerned Citizens.

March 19, 2007 - 02:06

I left the cinema yesterday to make a scouting run. I traveled back to the Joyner Boulevard police station.

The area was ripe with zombies. More then fifty had surrounded the police station and it's barricades had been torn open... there was nothing left.

I moved back toward the Hildebrand Mall and took shelter in the Rawlins Row police station over night.

That's when I got lucky.

During the night, a guy calling himself DanoAcharn introduced himself. It seems he and a band of locals are trying to organize a new combat unit. Their leader, some guy named Frohman, sounds pretty inept. But for the most part, the actual team sounds fairly battle ready.

Having been offered the chance to join the "Concerned Citizens" I accepted. He's supposed to contact me later with rendezvous instructions.

All was going fairly well until I woke up this morning. Hundreds of zombies had moved into the neighborhood surrounding Hildebrand Mall. They're storming any building they cross and tearing the place apart... including the police station, which served as a mall entry point.

The barricades where torn away during the night and three zombies had already entered and started killing. A fourth entered as I slipped through a back window. Had I not woke when I did, I might well be dead now.

But that was the last of my good luck. I abandoned the police station, but could not enter the mall. Moving further north, I found the buildings all so heavily barricaded that I could not enter. Along the way, I ran into a fight I couldn't avoid. I managed to evade the main horde, but still had to tango with a large zed.

During the fight, he never laid a claw on me. But something struck me in the back of the neck. I pulled it off to find it was a dart of some kind.

I nearly unloaded my shotgun trying to down the zombie, but it was wearing body armor. Still given enough careful shots, I got him.

But even as it fell in the street, I too collapsed. I'm straining with my last ounce of concentration to scribble this message.

I can barely see straight. I can't feel my legs. I don't know who is behind this, but fear they've already killed me.

If you find this journal then know that Roftwood is under attack and Tynte Mall, maybe Pimbank as a whole, could be next.

Try to find the Concerned Citizens or another combat unit for support. This area is a death trap...

Worse...

It's a man-made death trap.

March 17, 2007 - 01:22

Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Nichols Mall fell last night. While I recouped in the police station, I listened to the entire ordeal via radio.

"100 zeds in the south west corner, barricades falling."

"150 zeds inside and the barricades are down."

"200 zeds are in Nichols Mall. The Mall has fallen. Tynte, Hildebrand get ready."

I heard the whole bloody mess in every gory detail.

I left the police station today. I didn't care for the local's efforts to place explosive charges along the front entry. Their plan was to burry the entrance barricades.

You see, there was a lot of fear that Hildebrand Mall would be next on the Mall Tour's path. That would lead them strait across the police station.

As I walked away, I heard the explosions and ensuing rumble. Only twenty-eight or so people remained inside.

I headed North and East. Along the way, I noticed an increased number of zombies traveling the streets. Nothing like at the Mall, though. It was almost as if they were scouting the area or something.

I stumble across another of those big ones along the way. It was a frenzied exchange of attacks as I unloaded a couple of pistols into him. When he fell, I entered the first safe, but enterable building I could find. The Neal Cinema on the suburb boarder.

I'll get some rest tonight and then decide where to go when I know more about what the Mall Tour is doing. They've been suspiciously quiet since Nichols fell.

Something strange is going on.

March 16, 2007 - 04:20

The last couple of days have been a bit busy. After doing a bit of exploring in the mall and making an acquaintance or two I got some rest.

I woke to the sound of a speech. A guy that calls himself "vito the don" was giving a speech from one of the malls mini-stages. It was a pretty good speech targeted at moral and encouraging the masses to fight.

You see, rumors of the "Mall Tour" and it's actions have been the subject of much speculation and gossip. People are worried.

This fact is not helped by the recent siege of Nichols Mall in Stanbury Village. It seems the Mall Tour may be headed our way. Radio signals call out for reinforcements and warn to defend other malls.

Not long ago, Tollyton was rumored to be the safest suburb. Then the Mall Tour passed through. Now it's one of the more dangerous suburbs. It will take time to re-secure and rebuild.

When a call went out for volunteers to aide Nichols Mall, I followed in the shadows. I spent the night last night at Wadham Library in Roftwood. Then, this fine early morning, I stopped by a police station for a bit of extra ammo and approached Nicholes from the east.

The horde has largely surrounded the mall. In fact, they hold several blocks in any direction. I attacked their rear. To my surprise, I encountered yet another breed of zombie.

It was big and bulging. It wore police body armor. It moved fast enough to elude some of my shots. I used a fair amount of ammo just to drop that sob, but I got him.

With a fare amount of ammo expended and fatigue of a running fight with zombies, I fired a flare in hopes of distracting at least some of the horde from the south east corner of the mall and withdrew to the police station for the night.

This first encounter with the Mall Tour has left me fatigued and concerned that my safe house for the night may not be far enough from the battle to actually be safe.

But I can't move on until I rest and re-load.

On the plus side, I used my shotgun a bit tonight and, as with the pistol, I feel I have regained some of my previous weapons handling training.

I'll reload and rest now. Then I'll make a second attack in the afternoon, if the horde doesn’t come during the night or overrun the mall. This time, I'll make a push for the mall itself.

March 14, 2007 - 13:47

I had an eventful day yesterday. I left my would-be safe house and moved back into Pimbank. I followed a lead to a dead end street and found only zombies. After that, I turned my attention to Tynte Mall.

As I walked the streets, I stumbled across another zombie, this one wearing body armor. I unloaded my pistols into it and, after reloading, finished it with a slug to the half-rotted face.

At last, I feel I remember almost everything about my pistols. It's as if I unlocked some portion of my training. Dormant memories or something.

Anyway, I found the mall opened this time. On entering, I was shocked. There must've been more then 200 people inside. There were many experienced survivors and even a task force or two.

One group called themselves the "Cannonball Crew". Another group was the Tynte Mall Union.

Perhaps more interesting though was the nature of the people present. I'm pretty sure I saw Hank Williams Jr. And one guy really truly looked like a real life Charly Brown.

And then there was this one guy, a member of that Mall Union. He called himself Dan Dark. I can't believe he was every fully human. He was... well... an anthropomorphic being. Like a blend of man and animal. In this case a silver fox with two tails.

As I surveyed the mall and its occupants, I understand why it is such a draw for survivors, and such a common target for zombie attacks.

But the people. Such strange and wondrous variety. Many, I am certain, do not belong to a race that occurs naturally on earth. I hate to sound like a psychotic, but this is some crazy ----.

Which brings me to my next point of order. I've come to a decision. After all this time, I have yet to find any survivors from my team, or any other ECOC team for that matter. I find the mission highly suspect and this matter must be addressed.

That said, after a couple of weeks worth of covert and not so covert operations, I will yield my search. I feel the time has come to move on.

Somewhere out there, the patient is waiting. And somewhere out there, answers are hidden.

My plan now is to better myself and help the locals as best I can when I can. My plan is to take down as many zeds as I dare claim and to join one of the local band of heroes in their efforts to defend Malton.

Then, perhaps, through involvement with these and my other actions I will reclaim the patient and disable it permanently.

For now, I'll rest. I need to pick up some extra ammo. And I've managed to pop the "street legal" limiter plug from this assault shotgun and can fill the clip.

Once I am fresh and have an extra reload... Then I hunt.

March 11, 2007 - 01:52

After I left my hiding spot yesterday, I found that the situation was again growing grave. There were more then twenty zombies outside of the hospital next door. St. Benedict's Hospital.

I moved back to Roftwood and began searching. Searching, this time, for information. To my surprise, I received some credible reports. ONe of the colleagues I had been searching for at the repair shop was reportedly working his way to the Tynte Mall in Pimbank.

I spent the day in the Dempsey Grove Police Department and scrounged up some extra ammo. I've tried to rest, but doing so in the field is always difficult.

But it's more then that. It's the patient.

I've never felt quite so concerned about an official order before. The fact that the patient has been missing for nearly two weeks already also worries me.

However, I'm still more interested in the why. Why were we scent here? If it was to "sterilize" the infected regions, why not evacuate the other units. I've heard rumors that there is even a black operations unit here.

If that be the case, why send in the ECOC? Is it because we are more covert or more deniable? And that rocket. We were shot down by a non-standard weapon here.

Something is truly wrong with this mission. I'm beginning to think the entire ordeal was a set up. But by who, and why?

I've only just arrived in Pimbank. I've found the mall in question, but it's too heavily secured to enter by conventional means. I'm going to need to work out some altenative. But for now I'll rest. I'm spending the night in the Swaine Towers.

March 10, 2007 - 11:30

I had a rather uneventful night last night. Some guys showed up from a local resistance team and gave a recruitment speech. That was about it for the night.

But in the morning... That's when things got interesting. The hospital I was staying in came under attack. Two zombies made it inside and trashed the generator. They also killed a man.

When I heard the commotion and shooting from my room, I moved to the door. But the door had been blocked in the scuffle. I managed to bash my way through and opened fire.

These zombies were different. They weren't the mindless killing machines I've seen so far. One of them actually spoke, declaring his intent to kill all humans.

Fortunately, the doctors and nurses had done their job well. I was patched up and fairly rested. The fight took a lot out of me. Enough to force me to spend another night. I used a lot of ammo too.

But in the end, the zombies were both dead. I dumped the bodies outside and waited inside for the barricades to be rebuilt, then I got some much needed rest.

What really stood out as weird in my mind is that one of the patients decided to perform a stand-up comedy routine afterward. I guess he thought he'd lighten the mood.

Anyway, I feel the fight did me some good. Some of my old training has come back to me. I think I understand my pistols a bit better now. Like I unlocked some part of my memory.

After a short rest, I learned that one of my people might have been spotted in a nearby auto repair shop. Dodington Auto Repair to be specific.

I set out on foot, though still in need of rest. I walked to the nearest police station first, but the entrance was completely inaccessible.

Continuing on foot, I located the repair shop. But once again I was too late. There were zombies all over the neighborhood and the repair shop had been completely ransacked. There were bodies everywhere.

Words can't describe the feeling of finding one of your squad mates with his face ripped off.

I turned south and explored the nearest buildings. By this time, I knew I was in no shape for a fight and my mind was nearly completely useless. I happened to find the Kinsman Cinema and have been resting peacefully. I'll set out soon in search of fresh supplies.

After that... well, we'll have to see what happens.

On a side note, I stumbled across something peculiar today. A black cloak and hood. It was folded neatly along with another radio. This grey cloak seems out of place, but is a welcome addition to my wardrobe. With it, I am more adequately concealed and protected. I do believe this thing will prove useful.

March 08, 2007 - 23:02

I'm not exactly sure what to say to open this entry. I can't be sure what I may have done. After my last note, the zombie followed me. I reloaded my shotgun and made a push to the west. I managed to drag myself a block before collapsing again.

A short time later, I gave it one last try and gained another block. After that, I don't really remember what happened.

I woke on the stoop of the Friend Plaza Police Dept. Someone has cleared away the rubble and rebuilt the barricades.

Lying there, injured obviously, I was dumbfounded. I was one of two "bodies" lying in the area with no one else in sight. Had we been brought to this place, or had we walked there with hostile intensions?

I may never know. All I do know is, I woke up. That's what counts.

Once I dragged myself to my feet, I walked into the next suburb north and located a hospital. St Ethelbert's Hospital. I've stayed the night here so far. There are about 20 people in here. Some doctors and medics. Others patients like myself.

Some folks are a bit out of it though. Like one guy carries an umbrella with him at all times. Says it’s bulletproof.

Remarkably, my injuries are light enough for me to continue my journey later tonight. I kind of hope I'll find a few extra med kits before I go.

The doctors and nurses here have been really good to me. Moreover, they've relayed a few items of information to me. The most important piece was a message that one of my comrades may in fact be hold up in a mall in the next suburb north. I'll wait a couple of hours here and then press on.

Unfortunately, I've received word that the mall in question is part of what the doctors call "Mall Tour '07". It's in the direct line of fire from a zombie horde. A big one.

I need to rest now. I'm not sure what may happen when I leave this place, and I may need all the strength I can muster.

March 06, 2007 - 14:02

I fear my situation has grown more troublesome.

I woke yesterday to the sounds of gunfire outside. I found my hideaway had been attacked during the night. The barricades had been weakened. Noting a zombie presence about a block east and no source for the gunfire, I left.

I stopped at the Friend Plaza Police Dept. There were more then thirty people inside. With such a crowd, I thought that I would take a look around. It proved to be a treasure trove.

I found among other things, a stash of .44 ammo. I also found a box of shotgun shells and, dare I say it, a twelve gauge assault shotgun. I was relived to say the least.

Then I found it. Hidden in the back of a storage room under a pile of emptied supply boxes. One of my fallen comrades must have given it up. An armor upgrade for my ATA. I had to take a moment just to allow the passing to sink in.

I took the upgrade and installed it.

Given my success and the chance to interview some of the locals, I made the decision to risk staying the night. That was a mistake.

I found out very little with regard to my team. And I woke this morning to the sound of gunfire.

But it wasn't directed at zombies. There were two assailants.

Twins or clones or something. One called himself "zombie cheez" and the other "fire cheez". They had the look of mad men.

They had cornered a small group of people in an isolated and locked operating room and opened fire. There were six victims in all. Survivors tell me their names were hdfghdf, Moke3, Moogley, Hazal, and Ash1312.

I have no idea what provoked the attack. It could have been a rivalry. Or an argument over supplies. Or something altogether sinister. I don't know anything about the incident other then the fact that this was human on human killings.

At one point, I heard one of the attackers scream "I told you that you were gonna die. It ain’t over yet..."

With the killing done, they scrambled out a window. I broke down the door, but too late. I don't know which concerns me more. The mindless bloodshed or the lack of response from the other inhabitants of this police station.

"We don't wanna get involved," one man said.

As I said, I don't know anything about this "hit". I don't really want to know now.

I left the police department despite my fatigue. I feel I am in real need of sleep, But I also felt that I needed to find a safer place to hide out.

That was my biggest mistake.

When I left, the police department was barricaded and secure. I traveled as far as the suburb's boarder before fatigue became too much. I doubled back and approached the police department, but something was different.

Someone had set off charges along two concrete columns and collapsed a section of roof to seal the building completely. Truly, I'm beginning to fear a conspiracy of some sort.

With my only accessible refuge gone, I turned to neighboring buildings. I passed out on the stoop of St. Boniface's Hospital. I came too with a zombie on top of me.

He tore me up pretty good, having had time to open my ATA for direct hits. I fired a round of buckshot into his face and that stopped him for a while. But I'm in pretty bad shape.

I stopped the bleeding for now, but I only made it one block north. Collapsed in the street. Now, I can barely maintain focus as I write this. I'm so tired.

So very tired.

March 05, 2007 - 07:38

I started the day a bit too early yesterday. I made a rare decision to leave during daylight hours and found myself far more tired then expected.

I'm concerned that my head issues may be getting worse. During my walk yesterday, I could have sworn that I saw Edger Allen Poe.

And tonight, I'm positive I saw Stephen Baldwin. Or at least, one of the Baldwin brothers.

Anyway, I managed to trek as far as Reeves Bank in Tollyton this time. I've been stopping in at any open police departments along the way in search of weapons.

Conveniently, I found a second .44 tonight. If I ever find some more rounds, I'll be able to dual wield comfortably. Mostly, though, I've been finding buckshot. No matter.

I also happened across a second receive-only radio today. I can't help but think this may come in handy.

I started my trek yesterday and am satisfied I made the right decision. You see, I passed a zombie horde along the way. They were attacking a police department. I counted at least 15 zeds in all. It was only a few blocks from the Sayce Building.

As I fatigued yesterday, I stopped at the Silvey Towers in Wray Heights. I stayed there all day and once rested, continued my journey.

I'm still not sure what to think of the people that barricade these buildings. We had a guy stop by during the afternoon. The Silvey Towers were pretty secure to begin with. But this guy just kept building. Now the building is inaccessible to anyone from the outside.

When I arrived in Tollyton this evening, I found a painfully thick cluster of buildings that were inaccessible. As a result, I barely made it into Reeves Bank before passing out.

From the documents I have read, over-barricading buildings is dreadfully common in Malton. Apparently, a lot of people panic at the mere thought of a zed and build a fortress of any building they can.

Sad really. They just make life more difficult for themselves and the rest of us.

Tomorrow, I'll pack up and head further north... assuming I survive the night. This building has a weak barricade in place but it could be compromised if the zeds so wish.

March 03, 2007 - 21:35

Sad to say that this ordeal was a properly planned ECOC intervention. I'm beginning this journal as I believe it may come in handy some day... or at the least it will tell others of what I have seen... assuming I can't.

I've been in Malton for 8 days. The mission began as any good fazed operation. The first Override team left two days prior to my originally assigned mission start. Friends were on that airlift. We turned out to see them off.

The next day, Override 2 lifted. We celebrated that night. We all knew that Malton was a nightmare. We'd seen news reports and read briefings. We just wanted to enjoy ourselves one last time before entering the fray.

Now I'm glad we did.

Our party was cut short when a rare transmission was received from Override 1. One of my friends, the squad leader was calling from a hospital in the north-west corner of the Dartside suburb. There was a problem.

The LZ had been compromised. A horde had descended on the area and the team had joined a band of survivors in the hospital. They lost more then half the squad. My friend was asking for reinforcements.

Override 2 was dispatched well to the north. The only hope was to send my team in a day early.

ECOC was supposed to be operating covertly. No one was supposed to know we were there. If my friend was aiding civilians and sending distress signals, then the situation had become uncontrollable. All of our covert operations went flying out the window.

My team approached Malton from the east. We never made it into Malton airspace.

I caught a glimpse of the rocket that hit our transport. It was not a cheap salvaged ordinance from one of Malton's forts. It was a modified RPG with a laser sensor. No zombie could have shot us down.

The realization that a human had attacked us was unsettling, to say the least. There are dark forces at work in Malton.

When I awoke after the crash, I dragged myself to my feet and checked for bite wounds. Other then minor cuts and bruises I was free from injuries.

Unfortunately, three of my team and our pilot were dead. Everyone else was missing. Moreover, someone had stripped me of my weapons. All I have left is my .44-magnum. They took my radio too.

And, sadly, that brings us to the subject of our mission. The crash sled with our “patient" was missing as well. I wouldn't mind so much since the ideas behind our mission never thrilled me to begin with... especially if survivors can be evacuated.

The problem that I have at this point is that someone somewhere in Malton has our patient. In a way, I hope the zeds mistake it for a generator and destroy it. Otherwise... I guess you can imagine the dangers of "the wrong hands".

I managed to scrounge up some mission documents, maps, and other papers. This has probably saved my life to date.

I spent the first night in a school. I tried to leave the next morning, but given a chance to explore and my first encounter with a zombie, I found myself more fatigued then expected. I passed out on the steps of the school. When I came to, I managed to crawl through the baracades and slept.

After I woke, I took a look around just in case. But all I found was a book. I looked it over a few times, but learned nothing. It’s grade school stuff after all.

Ultimately, I bleached the pages with a few chemicals I located in the janitor's closet so I could make this journal. Too bad it's taken me this long to make an entry.

I'm writing the journal backwards so the most recent and relevant entries will be the first you read.

In any event, I decided to track down Override 1. I considered the possibility that any survivors from my team may have made the same decision and taken our patient with them. One can always hope.

It took me a couple of days to reach Dartside on foot. I've found a few odds and ends along the way, but I'm armed only with my sidearm. I used a full cylinder and most of a second on that first zombie I encountered. But the bloody thing didn't go down.

It was strange. I had a throbbing headache at first (after the crash), but that went away. Still, I wonder if it may have done more damage then I originally thought.

You see, part of the reason the zombie didn't drop was because I couldn't hit it more then three times. It's as if I've forgotten some of my training or something. I hope this isn’t anything too serious. I find myself having to re-learn everything.

Worse, I still haven't practiced enough to hit the broad side of a barn.

This being the case, I've been sticking to covert movements. I've managed to avoid all of the zombies I've encountered and lived long enough to write about it.

I located the hospital this morning. There were 11 zombies outside... and four inside. There were also a number of unidentifiable bodies. I found no survivors.

I managed to slip in and out of the hospital undetected, thus I still have my 8 shots left. I just hope I get some more practice in soon, and maybe find some more ammunition. I keep searching police stations, but many of them have been barricaded too heavily. Others have been completely ransacked.

After I left the hospital, I moved over to Tapton and ducked into the Sayce Building for the day. I still fatigue far too easily and have need to rest regularly.

There are other people here, but I haven't said anything to them. Really, the place is pretty quiet. I guess the whole zombie infestation thing can be a bit depressing.

One of these people said three zombies were outside earlier. I do hope they stay outside and don't bring any friends.

For now, my plan is to head toward Override 2's last location. They were supposed to drop in Huntley Heights.

Based on some newspaper clippings and documents I've found along the way, this area is expecting a large migration of zombies soon. But according to the original mission documents, Huntly Heights is practically overrun. I hope this isn't an "out of the frying pan and into the fire" situation.

As a side note... I have recently learned, from a few scattered documents, that a HECU unit is here and so too is a team of Black Mesa survivors. I picked up a radio last night and though I can't broadcast, I can receive. Until I find something more interesting, I’m going to listen in to their frequency.

Well, that's all for one entry. I need to rest now.
