RL is a term for real life used both in and outside of Malton. Society generally expects it to outweigh in-game activities, though it sometimes only outpaces them.
RL is a recursive and paradoxical term, either because RL ends up becoming UD, or more commonly because RL supposes that Malton does not exist and then places the user in RL at the start.
