A Detailed History
Feb 28th: The Calm before the storm
There are 124 defenders in Cheeke, with numbers in the mall "from over 50 to 20 in one corner."
March 1st: Contact
There are 14 zeds in the SE corner of Tompson Mall. 3 of them are identified as members of the Mall Tour. St. Alexander's has a minor break in with 1 zed. The Cheeke Building is staffed with 144 survivors.
March 2nd: Initial Skirmishes
The NE corner of the Mall is breached. Barricades fall and are rebuilt. Break-ins continue at the SE corner.
March 3rd: Cheeke is Unmolested
The Mall continues to experience break-ins at the SE corner. There are an average of 50 survivors to each corner of the Mall, and 100 zombies outside. Members of the SWA continue to move over to the mall and help put down small break-ins and patch up the barricades. The number of defenders inside the Cheeke building has precipitously dropped from 145 to 123, with barricades still at EHB.
March 4th: The Mall gets Mauled
Numbers of zeds inside the Mall reach the critical threshold. By one account "37 zeds inside the SE corner, 120 outside and only 15 or so defenders remaining." Inside the Cheeke Building, some spillover has bolstered survivor numbers, now at 160. Wounded refuges pour into the Cheeke building and Alexanders. The DHDP defended Tompson honorably, but now call on their members to withdraw to Cheeke and Alexander. Inside the Opulent conference room, anticipation builds for the looming conflict "They know we're here. We know they know we're here. They know we know they know we're here."
March 5th: The Battle for Cheeke
- Thompson Mall is ruined. The Tour announces the Cheeke building as it's next target.
- 8:59am EST - the Cheeke building is breached with 19 zombies. 158 survivors remain.
- 2:27pm - there are 16 zeds in the Cheeke, 19 outside, and 40 scattered throughout the mall.
- 3:45pm - the Cheeke building is cleared and 'caded, however survivor numbers have plummeted to 115. At St. Alexander's hospital "someone has put up a "cade to VS by order of the Valks" notice" despite regular break-ins.
- 6:19pm - another breach has occured and been dealt with.
- 8:30pm - a 12 zombie break-in has occured. There are 92 standing survivors, 40 zombies outside and 95 dead bodies.
March 6th: Cheeke is Molested
- 1:18am "Woot! Cades up to around HB+2 (not EHB). 68 survivors left inside Cheeke. Good job, guys!"
- 3:01am - A 13 zed break-in occurs. DHDP is being recalled within the next day or so, but a coordinated strike to retake the mall is planned for the 7th or 8th.
- Midday - Zombie numbers swell to 64 inside the NT, with 2 remaining human defenders. snapshot
- Simultaneously, the number of zeds inside the mall plummets, leaving it primed for a counterstrike. snapshot
March 7th: Tompson is Reclaimed
In conjunction with DHDP's Ghost Squad, the mall is reclaimed. Quote: "thanks to you all for coming when you did. we all burned our AP kicking out the squatters and bumping the cades. They started hitting our cades minutes after we got here, and you guys saved that corner." However survivor numbers are extremely thin, with only 2-3 people in each corner.
March 8th: Tompson in Reclaimed... by zombies!
After a break in, the few survivors inside the mall are expelled. However the Cheeke building has only 2 zeds inside, and Alexander's is "lightly staffed and caded."
March 9th: Mall Tour moves on?
On their wiki, the Mall Tour claims "Lockettside is so 3 days ago". However the Cheeke building is at EHB with 12 defenders inside, Alexander Hospital is at VHB, and "plenty of zeds" remain in the area.
March 15th: Rebuilding continues
The suburb status is updated to moderate, after almost a week of rebuilding.
March 18th: Back to business
A number of survivors from the SWA have remained in Lockettside to assist TMS with the rebuilding effort. The suburb returns to green and business goes on as usual.
