Suggestion talk:20070615 Venomous Bite Version 2

Since you seem adamant to keep re-suggesting this before it's discussed fully, let me say a few things here.

I'd like to suggest a few changes:

1) Venomous Infection does not come back with the revive. However, upon revive, the survivor has a normal infection that can be cured in the familiar way - with a FAK.

2) Venomous Bite can only be cured by a another survivor who has the First Aid or Surgery skill. Being in a powered hospital or building is not required. Standard FAKs neither remove the infection nor restore hp. FAKs applied by a survivor without the Surgery skill, or the player themselves, restores HP but does not cure the venomous infection.

3) Speaking causes hp loss (remember, venomous bite is more deadly than infectious bite)

additionally...

4) Venomous Infections cause HP loss in the same way as normal infections, however HP loss stops at 10HP.

5) To inflict a Venomous bite, a zombie has to have Venomous Bite and Tangling Grasp. A zombie must first successfully grab the target, and then inflict a successful bite.

6) A venomously infection can be given to a survivor who is already infected.

7) A venomously infection cannot be downgraded to a normal infected.

8) Zombies with Scent Blood can distinguish survivors who have a venomous infection.

I'd appreciate comments from anyone. armareum 02:07, 16 June 2007 (BST)

Lose Number 4 I'd say, the goal is for a guaranteed kill to get them into the hospital at some point. Without that it is a complete skill and everything for nothing. If it stops at 10 hp it just becomes a waste of zombie ap and xp.--karek 09:29, 16 June 2007 (BST)
The reason Number 4 was there was to make the make the bite left powerful, since you need a survivor with a Surgery skill to heal it. But it's definitely optional, and probably should be removed. Please note that Number 2 states that the player doesn't need to be in a hospital, just healed with a FAK by a survivor with the Surgery Skill. armareum 23:56, 21 June 2007 (BST)
You might want to have the hospital requirement, from the other versions of this type of thing I have seen a big pull was that it gave Hospitals a purpose(look at the suggestion cripple.)--karek 00:04, 22 June 2007 (BST)
