Sweatman Walk Police Department

Description

As you pass through the streets, one thing stands out: Sweatman PD lacks any visible windows. As a preemptive measure, they were all removed to prevent the possibility of break-ins. The steps leading to the door are cracked and overflowing with weeds, while the door has hundreds of zombie scratch marks embedded into it. The roof is home to several lookout guards who scan the streets for signs of approaching enemies. It is rare that a significant number of the undead are shambling towards the policemen, but as the residents have learned many times before, anything can happen.

History

Sweatman was once just an ordinary precinct in Brooke Hills, where everyone knew each other and the offenders were on first-name basis with the cops who threw them in their cells. The police were rarely called upon to investigate something major, but in the Autumn of 2004, a tragic event that shook this once-quite community happened just a block away at the Whittle Street Railway Station. A common hangout for a few local gangsters trying to gain a bit of recruits, the police were never able to crack down on the drug operations there entirely. On a rainy night in September, three armed thugs circled a young man in his twenties. Drawing knives, they demanded he hand over his wallet. The man complied, but when the wallet proved to be empty, the muggers asked for more. When the man insisted he had only pocket change on him, one of the men drew his glock 9mm and shot him twice in his forehead. There were only three witnesses on a passing train who witnessed the shooting. The police eventually discerned the killer from the testimony of those charged with the murder.
