Talk:New Danversbank Barricade Plan
I'm thinking it is a little too friendly. maybe this is why Danversbank fell so quickly to the first Big bash. Sorry if I am not supposed to comment on this page, it's just that it didn't say where I can leave comments. Remove it if it's not supposed to be here. --Douchette 04:13, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Due to the high number of VSB buildings, one would be tempted to say that this plan is overly-noob-friendly. However, upon closer inspection of this plan I must say that I believe this plan is the exact opposite! What do low level players need the most? Two things - a safe place to sleep and sources of XP points. This new plan has lots of the first - newbs without free running will be able to get into many of the buildings under this new proposed plan. What this plan is lacking is sources of XP. Practically speaking, PDs and hospitals are the only sources of XP for most new players, if they choose doctor, private, cop, or whatever (all solid starting classes, IMO. If they choose Firefighter class then they are OK, as the FSs are VSB), they will have no sources of XP in this entire suburb, save for the PD in the north. If all the hospitals and other PDs are EHB, newbies won't have any chances to gain xp through the use of FAKs and they won't be able to find ammunition to shoot zombies with. I think if some more TRPs were changed to VSB this plan would be much better. Maybe in line with the univeral barricade plan or whatever... --ScaredPlayer 18:26, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
As stated, this is a bit too friendly. I agree that we need to have places for the new guys to go, but most of the VS buildings in this plan are relatively useless (Hotels, regular buildings, warehouse, etc.) Actually, my main problem is that the warehouse is VS, while the fire station is marked to be EHB. Fire stations are the place to find fire axes, the most effective melee weapon in the game, while also not being considered important enough that people will freak out if they get taken down by the zombies.
Yeah, I focused on that warehouse a little too much. What can I say, it's my favorite hangout in the city.--BD2 17:53, 2 April 2009 (BST)
