The Wondrous Eye of Hulda
The Wondrous Eye of Hulda
The goddess of the dead and the afterlife: Hulda, portrayed by the Vikings as being half-dead, half alive. The Vikings viewed her with considerable trepidation. The Dutch, Gallic, and German barbarians viewed her with some beneficence, more of a gentler form of death and transformation. She is seen by them as Mother Holle; a being of pure Nature, being helpful in times of need, but vengeful upon those who cross her or transgress natural law.
The Leader of the Wild Hunt and the Matron of the Witches
The huntress Hulda headed the Wild Hunt from her mountain kingdom, her armies made up of the undead – those killed before and after existence in this mortal realm.
Hulda’s powers were entwined with magic and the spirit world – as well as leading the wild hunt, she flew at the head of armies of earthly witches on their nightly, otherworldly adventures and terrifying battles in the sky.
She rises once again
Being neither dead nor alive, it is impossible for Hulda’s powers to end. She lives still, in the remotest haunts and mountain fortresses. Now, with the bloody fight between mortals and zombies upon the mythical streets of Malton, she has returned to us – our goddess mother, the leader of the dead and undead, the queen of darkness. Her eye watches you.
The Wondering Dead
The Wondrous Eye of Hulda believe that the Zombie intellect is intact, although the brain and skull might not be. A friend of the dead, and a foe to the foolish living, beware mere mortals of her powers. HER TIME IS COMING SOON.
