REQUEST FOR REVISION OF THE WIKI HUMAN GROUPS PAGE AND POLICY


The Creedy Defense Force is listed inaccurately in the Urban Dead WIKI Human Groups Page. I contend that CDF is in fact, a PKer Group. It has been a PKer group for quite some time. It is not, nor has it ever been listed as such in the WIKI PKer Groups Page.

It has been stated to me by WIKI staff that groups have control over what they claim themselves to be on their own group pages. I agree. Groups should have autonomy over the content of their own pages provided they do not mis-represent the truth. I submit that CDFs claim to be a human group is not the truth. I cite the following page guideline to support this claim:

(4) Adding unsubstantiated claims or "facts" to a group's page (such as "the group has recently disbanded" when they have not) is construed as vandalism and will be treated accordingly.


Points

1. The WIKI Human Groups Page IS NOT the domain of individual groups. They were created, and are maintained by the WIKI staff. The WIKI Human Groups Page is currently inaccurate. The CDF should in fact be considered a PKer group. Accurate representation of the contents of this page is the responsibility of the WIKI staff. Newcomers who would search for a new group to join will be mislead into thinking that the CDF is NOT a PKer group if they are not listed as such. Inaccuracies in the WIKI reflect negatively on the WIKI staff.

2. Falsely listing a group as a human group rather than a PKer group gives an unfair advantage to that group in recruitment. The CDF have taken advantage of their human status. PKers are a minority in Malton. Most players when choosing a group to join normally do not choose to become a PKer, but rather a human survivor. As a result, those who choose to affiliate will join a human group before choosing to join PKers. This imbalance is a known fact.

3. The CDF was at one time, the fourth largest group in Malton. Accurate representation on the WIKI of such a large group should therefore be an imperative. I am not saying that the WIKI staff should be in the business of becoming PK police or monitor group PKing policies and practices of individual group members. Yet, when overwhelming evidence such that is clearly present, a re-evaluation of status should be mandatory.


EVIDENCE

  • The CDF have a team called the PKer Response Unit(PKRU). This unit is currently commanded by Sl4rt1b4rtf4st, the third-in-command of CDF. PKRU is responsible for PKing the CDFs enemies. This team has steadily grown in numbers until it has now reached 11 members, if you include Shantzman, CDF leader. Most groups in Urban Dead do not even have 11 members, and all 11 members of PKRU are current and active.
  • In addition, there is evidence that many more members of CDF that are not PKRU are regular PKers who receive no punishment for their actions. Case in point: Cowboy Up who is once more out of retirement and PKing at will. Evidence of these members’ actions can be readily found on the Rogues Gallery and at Resensitized.
  • Current DEM policy is to ignore reports of PKs to and from CDF members and their enemies upon each other due to constant reporting practices by both sides.
  • The PKRU Kills thread consists of 18 pages of evidence of where CDF PKRU members and non-members report their PKs of CDF enemies. This page is readily available to public viewing. The PKer Alliance kills thread isn’t even as long as this, and we consist of over 10 PKer groups.


REQUEST

  • I request that the WIKI Human Groups page accurately report the list of human groups separately from PKer groups that are currently present.
  • I request establishment of criteria for listing as Human Group from that of a PKer Group.
  • I request that the WIKI staff demand accurate representation of the CDFs PKer status on their groups’ page as required by the WIKI Group Page Guidelines, Section 4.
