The time is different, the space is the same. It's an eerie cold being bodiless, but it's not from touch. There is a dead man here.

» One of many examples...

The man is sprawled diagonally over the front steps to his house. He knew this was coming. He tried to ignore it, but it was only the pretend.

» A habit of these examples. They knew what churned within because they had seen it in others. They felt it themselves, that tuck in their chest. It then outgrew them.

The man ignored each symptom. Maybe it would go away. The shakes were the first, his system still fought. His blood was being cleansed, so he bled from the mouth. He no longer needed the food he ate, so his bowels got rid of it. His body turned brittle, so his nails popped off. Through it all, his mind grew irritable and distorted; he couldn't stand being watched, so he turned to the watchers. In a fever, he took their eyes. But he could still hear them thinking, so he took that too. He cut them up so he could dispose of them in garbage bags. He didn't want to catch an illness, if he let them stay to rot.

» Repeated throughout, it made a monster of them all.

Near finished, he went outside to die. Before the end, he knew what came. He stood up later and walked away.

» The examples became the unified undeath. This was a chorus of one example.
