An American tourist trapped in Malton during the outbreak, Baldor is actually a woman named Laura. With the city quarentined and no friends to be found, Laura was quickly zombified and spent an unknown amount of time wandering aimlessly through the city. Upon revivification, Laura realized that, aside from NecroTech, most technology was lost in Malton, and she fell back on her hobby of medieval re-creation to survive. She found an axe, stole a replica Viking men's outfit from a museum and took on the persona of Baldor, elder brother of the second King of Rohan in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Staying true to character, she wears lots of jewelry made of gold and garnets, and has painted "Sangahyando the Throng-cleaver" on the handle of her axe. Baldor now dwells in Caiger Mall, and is the Resident Tolkien Geek of the Upper Left Corner.
