User Data

Under this menu you can change your password, Real name, Email address, Wiki Nickname, your language and set your Email preferences. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Real Name

This is an Optional field. If you choose to fill it in it will be used for giving you attribution for your work.

Email

This is an Optional field. This enables others to contact you through your user or user talk page without the need of revealing your identity.

Nickname

Under this field the default is your user name. If you use the default you will get a signature that looks like this Fake User. Now you can change this to say many things. Let’s just say Fake User decided to crown them self as King Fake User they would type in the box King Fake User . Now their signature will look like this King Fake User.

• Raw signatures – this box allows you to provide advanced wiki signatures.
  • For example to have a signature that looks like this Fake User _talk you would have to type in the signature box [[User:Fake User|Fake User]] _{[[User talk:Fake User|talk]]}

Change password

This is used to change your password just follow the instructions to change it.

• Remember across sessions – click for your computer to remember your password.

Email

This is where you set your Email options. The different options are self explanatory.

Skin

Under this menu you can change the layout of the Urban Dead Wiki. Each one has a preview button. Click on the button to see if you like the layout and if you want to change it click on the bubble for the layout you want and click save.

Files

Under this menu you can change the maximum size that a picture will load at and also the max size of a thumbnail. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Date format

Under this menu you can change the way dates are viewed to you. Default is no preference. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Time Zone

This menu you can change the time that you see when you see events that are not set at GMT. You can either manually put in the time difference or, if your browser supports it, have it look up you set time zone. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Editing

This menu is for your editing options. This is mostly self explanatory and works fine at its defaults. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Recent changes & stubs

This is for when you click on the history tab on the top of the page. The options are once again self explanatory. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Search

This menu is for setting your default search parameters. This is mainly self expletory. I would recommend that you become comfortable with the search before changing anything on this menu. To save your changes click the save button on the bottom of the page.

Misc.

This is for changing things not covered in the previous menus. Self explanatory and not difficult to work with.
