The Origin...

Dave Badger had worked in Malton for years as a fireman. One day though, whilst fighting a particularly bad fire raging in Judgewood, Badger was struck down by a falling timber, sending him into a coma from which hospital staff at nearby St. Wilfred's thought he would never recover. That was in June of 2005. Even when the Zombies struck and destroyed the life support, Badger remained asleep - until February of 2006, when his creaking, entropied muscles awoke once more. Unfortunately, Badger had lost all sense of what, who and where he actually was. His coma damaged brain came to believe that he was actually a human representation of a badger, and that he had been in hibernation since the accident. To this end, he interpreted his name to be 'Devious' (a curious merger of Dave and Cornelius) and took the prefix 'The'.

The Early Days

Once Badger had regained enough mobility in his muscles to move freely again, he wandered out of hospital. Whilst looking for some Civvy clothes in a nearby ransacked building, he stumbled upon an example of what was to be. A dying Zombie, shot up by another survivor, looked up with his decaying eyes and murmured 'Mrh?'. Badger, who had found a trusty axe lying about, was disgusted and put paid to this monster. On discovering that the world was now full of them, Badger vowed to help end their reign of terror, and to kill every one that crossed his path.

The Foresters

Badger wandered about slaughtering for a while, and soon gained new abilities, such as proficiency with new weapons like shotguns, knives and pistols. He learned how to heal himself and operate Necrotech equipment to help save others. By March he had become an effective Zombie mass slaughterer, yet needed some direction. To this end he joined fledgling survivor group 'The Foresters', but after a couple of weeks membership, and despite his prompting, they had no effective plan or agenda. The end of Badger's association with the Foresters came when their safehouse was attacked and the other three members fled. Being asleep, Badger succumbed to their attacks and was Zombified for the first time. Despite knowing both of Badger's demise and where he was, none of the other Foresters helped or revivified him and he was left to suffer, being killed several times more by passing Zombies due to his low Zombie skill levels. When he was finally revivified, Badger condemned the Foresters and left the group to wander once more, with his desire to kill Zombies increased yet further. It is believed the remaining Foresters no longer act as a group.

Disenchantment and The Dribbling Beavers

After a couple more months wandering and killing, Badger was getting weary. His life still had no real purpose, and there was yet no sign of any relief coming to Malton. Come late June, Badger became less and less active, hiding out in his safehouses and defending the immediate area rather than his old, stale ethic of search and destroy. Badger needed purpose, and while looking for a new safehouse near Pole Mall, Badger heard about the Dribbling Beavers (TDB). TDB were a new survivor group formed by firefighters, and what's more they had an agenda. Badger contacted them to join and was accepted, yet tragically was killed after his safehouse was stormed by a hoard of Zombies before he could arrange to meet up with his new acquaintances. Leaving the suburb soon after, Badger headed for the revive points in Kempsterbank but they didn't seem to be active, so on July 6 he headed off to nearby Shackleville to seek a revive, however soon after fellow Dribbling Beaver Lankyman contacted Badger and agreed to rendezvous in Pashenton to revive him, however on the way Badger was killed at Paice Street by a wandering Zombie Hunter.

Prominence

Aside from the leaders, Badger quickly became one of the most active members of TDB. After TDB pulled back to Santlerville, Badger worked to keep the peace initially around Dowdney Mall and it's surounding buildings. After the Beavers membership increased sufficiently they split into four groups, one for each corner of Santlerville, which TDB had effectively begun to control. Badger's dedication was rewarded with the leadership of the North West section of the suburb, which he controls from his section base with the help of Vdude, Valdars and safever Gill.

Big Bash

The Big Bash has swung around towards the general area, so Badger is now preparing to defend his and the Beaver's territory against the foul zombies.
