Surviving and winning.
Want to do well in urban dead?
Here's my advice. Gleaned from a years worth of play.
Here's a list of things you won't need
Guns.
Being selfish is dying alone
50% of survivors are afraid of the following things.
- Dying
- Zombies
- PKing
Now in no particular order.
PK'ing
Unless you're damn unlucky you're not going to get PK'd on a regular basis. (Unless you're a PK'er, or a celebrity.)
In all honesty its easier to ignore it.
Which is why i'd advise against having a flak jacket, it takes up room, and if you're most likely to be eaten it doesn't help at all.
Most PK'ers also seem to "operate" near revive points, probably because they have to use them so much. So its not normally a long term issue. Don;t get angry, don't look for revenge. Most PK'ers are after a reaction, so don't give it to them.
Dying
Matters in no way. Hop over to a revive point and wait. On your way why not sharpen those claws on an overcaded building? Its more efficient then de-cading when you're alive.
Also its the perfect opportunity to scout, you can have a wander, find out where the zombies are and pass that information on.
As for talking when you're dead. Here's a trick. As a zombie you can only communicate in vague sounds, BUT when you Mrh? at someone it gives them your profile. Which you can change at any point. For example. Im at a revive point and someone pops out to revive. I can change my character description to say.
Hello! (Their name) its (Date) and i need a revive. ID Numbers (Whatever) Has brain rot, so ignore them. ID Number (Whatever) Is a good bet to revive. Thanks.
