User:Teddy Duchamp
Background
Raised in Castle Rock, Maine, Teddy took a keen interest in the military from a young age, drawing much inspiration from his father, a veteran of the 1944 D-Day landings at Normandy. Teddy's father suffered from mental health problems and was prone to violent drunken outbursts. On one occasion he took Teddy's ear to a stove and damn near burnt it off. Teddy was unable to join the United States Army due to his ear and poor eyesight, and he found himself taking odd jobs around his home town.
Arrival in Malton
Teddy arrived in Malton by chance after winning a Holiday, giving him a chance to visit the nearby grave of his great grandfather who had been a factory worker during the industrial boom in Foulkes Village. It is unclear exactly when or why his grandfather moved from France to Foulkes Village.
The Outbreak
Teddy took the opportunity that had evaded him for most of his life, and began to play the role of a soldier, scavenging military clothes and equipment from those who fell around him. He soon started to experience delusional episodes, variously beleiving himself to be fighting in German-occupied Italy, Russia and of course, storming the beaches at Normandy.
Enlightenment
One day the Octopope visited Teddy in a vision. It is not known what the Octopope revealed to him, Teddy will not say, suffice it to mention that Teddy has now fully devoted himself to the Octopope, His guidance, will and teachings.
