Observations of Toppleside have indicated a startling revelation. As he draws closer to a major zombie horde, the Big Bash II in this instance, he grows in strength. As long as he is near them, he no longer leaves a suburb if revived. Instead, he seems to gravitate toward the horde.

Origins

The night had been cooler then usual. After hours of racing from one corner of the suburb to another, the final alarm had been answered. The station was silent at last.

In the darkness that accompanied a sudden power outage, survivors and fire fighters waited for the evacuation trucks. It was a moment of peace after the brutality of a full day. For the fire fighters, it was a victory.

But something happened. The evacuation trucks stopped coming. The station began to fill with evacuees, but none left.

Harold Carter, a simple man by all accounts, had been hopeful that the trucks were only delayed. But he knew better. He knew that the trucks would only have stopped if the route had become impassable. Buttonville. Last refuge for so many.

One of the tours was en route. Everyone knew it. It was an unspoken rule that no one mentioned the approaching carnage.

When the fire alarms began to sound once again that night, Harold knew. Still, he believed that his duty was to help. His unit responded swiftly. They entered the building time and again with little hope of saving everyone.

Then the zeds came. They were like moths to a flame. A horde emerged from the shadows of the street and Harold watched his colleagues flee.

He was alone. They had abandoned him with no warning.

As the horde approached, Harold could only watch. Little did he realize that darker essence drew close. He began seeing shadows move, but assumed he was hallucinating in a state of panic.

He watched flames dance and surround him. He watched his protective gear burst into flame without burning his flesh.

The object, whatever it was, fell from the sky. It smashed through the ceiling at deadly speeds and struck with such force that the building itself was flattened and buried in a crater.

Zombies that drifted too close were consumed by the blast of impact. Those further away could only watch and groan. As the dust settled and smoke billowed, the zombies began to move away. But something in the rubble shifted. Something moved beneath the debris.

Slowly the gnarled figure stood. He was no longer the rugged firefighter of days gone by. Now, he was a specter. A 7-foot tall mutation of meat and bone.

Something had filled the one time human. Harold Carter was no more. In his place was a giant of a figure. With leathery skin and disproportionate masses of muscle, the new creation was ghastly.

And his face... The face of death. The face of Toppleside.

The face of Toppleside

Toppleside

Toppleside is a new type of character for me. The idea of a Jason Vorhees type slasher intrigued me. Toppleside is exactly that. I prefer the ax as a weapon, but I'll use anything I find that can be used to maim.

Toppleside is an unstoppable monster. He'll probably kill more then his share of survivors as well as zeds. Now, knowing that, I would expect this character to draw a lack of revive. For that reason, I have decided to self-impose a rule.

My character kills indiscriminately as human. When killed, he rises again and continues to kill (albiet in zombie form). He can't be stopped. You can't ever truly kill him. But if you revive him... he'll leave.

That's right, if someone revives this character... I'll leave the current suburb. It's a good way to get rid of me.

Even so, I don't expect much reviving or anything. It can be called a PKer and is supposed to be a slasher monster. I expect you to want to kill him and try to stop him at every turn.

Just don't make it personal. Don't flame the talk page or scream about how evil I am outside of the game. Just try to stop my character.

I'm expecting to die often. That's a part of the mystique of a slasher monster. They get gunned down, but then stand back up and kill. I'm hoping to make something fun from this guy.
