Re: St. Innocents, and co-running Mornington

While I'm honored that you suggest that we co-run Mornington, I think it is best that we leave the decision on that to the people - perhaps you could start a motion on the Mornington talk page? As for getting the innocents out of St. Innocents, I am totally with you on that one, as it has become a total slaughter-fest for the zombie horde. We need to distribute them to at least two other VS non-resource buildings, because having that many lower-level survivors in one place is like putting up signs for a zombie buffet, which is not only bad for the survivors in question, but bad for the suburb as a whole, because attracting zombies just makes things worse. The less zombie XP farms the better. As for barricading plans and whatnot, if you'd like, I could draft a barricade plan for the entire suburb, with specific areas designated as higher priority to maintain. --Joe McO'Robertson UD 19:40, 16 March 2006 (GMT)

Okay, I wasn't really sure of the situation in other parts of Mornington. In the next day or two, AP and spray cans permitting, I will barricade and mark both buildings, and mark them appropriately. If I can, I'll make a couple announcements to the survivors in the hospital telling them to move. Hopefully we can get rid of this zombie buffet, and help cut down on survivor casualties.
Our first priority should be securing the safety of nearby survivors, and from there we can work on barricade plans, and whatnot. We should also get a defense plan in place for the merewether road PD area, that encompasses some parts of wykewood. Just a couple nearby buildings, that's all it would really take.
From there, we should see about cleaning out the northern hospitals and such, but that is a distant-future priority. I honestly don't think we have the population to support that many buildings at the moment.
Once we get some more structure in place we may be able to do it with the people we have, but as of right now, it's just not feasible. --Joe McO'Robertson UD 00:53, 18 March 2006 (GMT)

That makes sense, although I have to disagree with you on one point - we should stick with barricading as many buildings as possible to very strong+2, because if we minimize the number of entrances, we will end up with survivors piling up in those buildings, and we will be back to square one. The more we can spread people out until many more of them have free running, the better. Once the free runners to non-free runners ratio is higher, then we should proceed to a barricading system that favors free runners. I will start dedicating as much of my AP as possible towards barricading buildings, starting with those in the SW area of mornington. You are very right about encouraging people to get free running, it is vital to the survival of all of us.

We should also determine the nearest necrotech building, because waiting for people to come and revive fallen zombies isn't helping. I'll get the scientist skill tree next, and see about going on some regular necrotech runs. --Joe McO'Robertson UD 00:41, 20 March 2006 (GMT)

Afraid I have a bit of bad news - I have been killed by a couple of zombies.. I think one took down the barricades, and severely damaged me, and then the other finished me off (all during a small fraction of my sleep cycle) As such, I'm now a zombie. I think I'll start researching nearby suburbs and see if any of them have revive points more active than ours is. Until then, I think I'll try getting experience by ZKing. You couldn't pay me to attack survivors. In any case, I'm going to be out of commission for a while. --Joe McO'Robertson UD 16:26, 21 March 2006 (GMT)

Alright, I'll see you later. I've found an active revive point, and I'm just waiting for a revive. Good luck, wherever you may go. --Joe McO'Robertson UD 23:57, 23 March 2006 (GMT)
