Just letting you know
Don't edit other people's comments. Doing so is a surefire way to get a vandalism case slapped against you. Profanity is permissible on the wiki, while editing other's comments in a manner like you did is not. —Aichon— 05:51, 17 October 2010 (BST)
- Wait, would editing people's comments be clicking the the little edit button on the voting section, or the whole thing? Because I believed I did that, went down and added my comment and signed it and then that was the end of it. Did I screw up? User:Stickmaster1782 00:35, 18 October 2010 (BST)
- Clicking the edit button on either the section or the whole thing is fine, since both will get you to the same place, but that's not what the problem was. If you click the link I provided, it shows exactly what changes you made with the edit I'm talking about. While the majority of it was just fine, you replaced the word " @#!*% " with "@#!*%" in Aeon17x's comment which preceded yours (you'll see that the word is in red in his comment, indicating that you changed it with that edit). That's what I was talking about when I said you shouldn't edit other's comments. —Aichon— 00:49, 18 October 2010 (BST)
- As an additional aside, if you just type in
~~~~
at the end of your comment, it'll add a signature with timestamp to the end of your comment automatically. No need to type it out yourself. ;) —Aichon— 00:51, 18 October 2010 (BST)- Ohhhhhh....I see what happened now.....kk now that I know, I'll be sure not to do it again! Thanks :P
- Just use the tildes. That "code" and "nowiki" stuff was so that it showed up as tildes instead of getting auto-replaced with a signature in my last comment. ;) —Aichon— 23:44, 18 October 2010 (BST)
- Oh bugger.......I screwed up again......for some reason every piece of profanity is automatically changed into the $@#! stuff. God damn it. I'll just stop editing now......
