The flipside to encouraging people to be bold is that as editors we have to be tolerant (eg not getting angry or being nasty) of the times when people mess up or do things differently from how the wiki normally operates. If some editor is thinking of doing an action that they are 90% sure will be beneficial to the wiki, but in their opinion there's a 10% chance of it being harmful, we need to not bite their head off if lady luck goes against them.
