Albert Wesker has been working with the Umbrella Corporation since 1978. In 1998, it was assumed that he betrayed Umbrella, but in 2004 it was discovered that he was in fact bringing back the corporation.
A New Umbrella
On October 11, 2007, the infamous Albert Wesker stepped up as the new leader of Umbrella.
The following was posted on the official Umbrella forums:
"Greetings, to you, the little people. I'm sure you know who I am, but just in case you have forgotten, I am Albert Wesker. Yes, I may have betrayed my comrades more times than I can count, but in the end I always got what I want. This time is no different.
I was here from the very beginning. Under the radar, behind the scenes, if you will. As I sat back in my very comfortable office chair for all of these long months watching the group's progress, I came to think, "This is an utter insult to the Umbrella of yesterday". From day one, the so-called "new and improved" Umbrella Corporation has done nothing. Mission this, operation that, what was the point? What did you even accomplish?
