The raider known as Blades carried a machete with him among other weapons and demonstrated skill at using it when killing zombies in the early days of the undead plague that had spread globally and was rapidly giving away to anarchy and mayhem. During the raid, Blades was shot by SWAT officer Peter Washington who was one of three survivors holding up within the shopping mall Blades and the raiders had invaded. After being shot, Blades fell head over heals over a railing to the lower level of the mall where he presumably died either from the gunshot wound, fall, or both.

Since he was not shot in the head, Blades reanimated as one of the undead and was among the army of zombies that had assaulted a fortified city approximately three years after his death. Though it has not been determined exactly how much decomposition had set in during the years after he was reanimated, Blades still used a machete with skill upon one of the living trying to escape the carnage of the attack.

It also cannot be confirmed whether or not he was among the many undead that consumed victims during or after the attack. He appeared to be more focused than other undead during the attack and did not appear to be just following motorized instincts.

Whether or not undead Blades still walks the Earth is unknown at the time of this posting.
