Powers
I assume that with Kevan's powers you mean stuff like editing actual wiki software? Could be helpful if this could be extended to crats, maybe sysops, certainly not normal users considering the damage that can be done. As for sysops powers, maybe giving regular users the ability to move but that would be it. The other exclusive powers like deletion and banning would be open to abuse waaayyy too much.

Power needs to be restricted if you want to keep any kind of order on an open public place like this, especially teh web. -- Thadeous Oakley Talk 18:59, 9 June 2011 (BST)
- Well on the note of deletion if you could limit it their own user-space then that might be ok. Crit 7 allow sysops to speedy delete pages only the author has edited, and most often user pages only the author(user) has made edits to and it is their user page anywho. Then crit 8 allows deletion of the user subpages so that encompasses a persons user-space. (I hope I interpreted that correctly) Although uploaded images need to still go through the proper channels because of the possibility of breaking links and those ugly boxes appearing everywhere and maybe signatures as well for a similar reason. Then if normal wiki users are granted the deletion power within their own user-space then they could also have the ability to move pages within their own user-space. In my mind that seems reasonable and mostly harmless to the general wiki, need be any deletions can be restored can they not? 19:27, 9 June 2011 (BST)
