WORN NOTEBOOK, NOTE
It is as if from memory.
to the reader of this note,

after many days of sleeping here, hidden amidst the horrors I hear every day and every night, I have decided to leave and take the boat with me. I have also taken all the tools here, the hammer, the saw, the nails and of course, fuel as I need them dearly and I do not expect anyone to come by and need them, for I believe everyone dead, and my writing this note is perhaps more of a formality indicative of my previous occupation.

but I must confess, I still hold hopes that one may come by and read this note, and know that there are other people still alive here, at least at one time. so I have left a flare gun for you, though I don't believe it wise to use it, for the dead, I believe, although unable to pinpoint the exact location should you fire it, will undoubtedly be attracted to the noise and light.

I wish you my best, dear reader, if you exist, and you should know that I intend to take this boat as far down river as possible, and, hopefully outside of this hell-hole. kind regards,
