Prologue

Lightning. It flashes bright, then fades away. It can't protect. It only destroys. Nobody forced me to enter this city. I volunteered. PSICOM tried to stop me, saying Guardian Corps was exempt from entering this city. So I resigned from Guardian Corps right there, entering the city as just another civilian Cocoon was sending in to be purged. Malton...It's just Cocoon's dumping site for civilians they thought to be a threat to the safety of Cocoon. Some people said I couldn't get in Malton, but you know what? It's not a question of can or can't. Some things in life you just do.

I did what I had to do to get in. After all, they could be here. And it's too late for me to turn back now. Everyday has become just another fight for survival. And everyday, I will hold onto that small bit of hope that I will find them. Because fighting without hope is no way to live. It's just another way to die.

The First Month

March 3 - Made the PSICOM pilot crash in Old Arkham. Escaping incoming PSICOM reinforcements, I made my way into Nixbank.

March 4 - Was attacked by someone named Reave the Just today. He better stay out of my way.

March 10 - Found my way into Grigg Heights.

March 16 - Witnessed my first player kill. A little girl named Cutey Snugglekins from Cobra took out swordsmith04 with a pair of pink Hello Kitty pistols.

March 25 - Found Reave the Just. Left him with a warning saying if I ever see him again, he's as good as dead. Shortly afterwards, I found a Pulse fal'Cie and was branded as a Pulse l'Cie. Great. This day just keeps getting better and better.

March 26 - Reave the Just is dead. Maybe next time he'll stay out of my way.

March 27 - Killed by Mick Ronson from Flowers of Decay. Target's a target, I suppose.

March 28 - She's nearby. I can feel it. Serah...

The Second Month

April 3 - I've finally found Serah. Or rather, she found me. Reunion inside Adalbert General Hospital in Wykewood was rather emotional.

April 4 - 23 - From Foulkes Village to Wyke Hills, Cie'th aren't safe from me and Serah.

April 24 - Witnessed Carlos Froma killing someone.

April 25 - Witnessed richerd cranium of Illiterati killing someone. Serah also joined Cobra today. As much as I disapprove of her activities, I plan on looking the other way. Some time later, iamnotachicken scolded Serah for killing a Cie'th. So I scolded iamnotachicken for scolding Serah.

April 27 - iamnotachicken scolded me and Serah for scolding him for scolding Serah. Along with Serah's new party member, Julie Marsh, we took down iamnotachicken. He may talk a big game, but in the end, it was just a bunch of bull.

The Third Month

May 6 - Ceasefire agreement has been met with the Iamnots. Serah and I are backing off so long as they back off. Suppose it's time to resume hunting down Cie'th.

May 7 - Some Cie'th thought they could catch me off guard.

May 11 - The Cie'th thought they could run away. Serah and I blocked off their escape routes. I lost track of Serah soon after. I hope she's alright.

May 23 - 24 - Ran into a friend, Carrie Cutter. Figured I would give her a hand with a few things.

May 25 - An ambush from Patrick Panic and Maxim Gorky caught Carrie and I off guard. It's a good thing Carrie had a few Phoenix Downs at hand.

May 26 - So I'm hired help, huh? Whatever. A target's a target. Went up into Ketchelbank with mercenary credentials. Keeping an eye out for Signaigo. Given the evidence I received from some of the civilians, this guy is a bad apple. Some other evidence makes me want to run a background check on a few other less noteworthy folks in the area.

The Fourth Month

June 2 - Killed asdfasdf. Maybe next time he won't plant a genny where I don't want it. June 6 - My target's not standing. Guess I'm done in Ketchelbank. Heading south to North Blythville. June 8 - Carrie has given me some targets. So I'mgoing after them. The first to fall was [www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=983326 Sneaky Fox]. Doesn't seem like he's as sneaky as he claims. June 11 - Killed [www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=93184 Mark Whalberg]. Team Zombie Hardcore retaliation was pretty fast. Interestingly enough, they muttered something about me killing for no reason. They obviously don't know me. Fighting for no reason is no way to live. It's just another way to die. I always have a reason. June 12 - My previous target in Ketchelbank finally stood up. So I went back to north to handle some unfinished business. Although it seems I was late to the party. June 19 - Hired to kill [www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=509093 Lady Clitoria]. Target's a target. June 30 - I owe my life to [www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=1089486 Zhang Ziyi]. In the dead of night, we were both dragged outside by the zombies, but her quick response saved both our lives. I won't ever forget this act of courage.

The Fifth Month

July 3 - Seems I'm back in the mercenary business. Moving south to protect a young girl named [www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=509093 Gabrelle]. Who made me the babysitter?
