My Story...
Lightning. That was my name, just not my real name. I changed my name when our parents died. I thought by changing my name, I could change who I was. It flashes bright, then fades away. It can't protect. It only destroys. I didn't know what else to do. I had to be strong for her. Only did I meet him did I realize I was only running away from the past.
Nobody forced me to enter this city. I volunteered. PSICOM tried to stop me, saying Guardian Corps was exempt from entering this city. So I resigned from Guardian Corps right there, entering the city as just another civilian Cocoon was sending in to be purged. Malton...It's just Cocoon's dumping site for civilians they thought to be a threat to the safety of Cocoon. Some people said I couldn't get in Malton, but you know what? It's not a question of can or can't. Some things in life you just do.
I did what I had to do to get in. After all, they were here. And it's too late for me to turn back now. Everyday has become just another fight for survival. And everyday, I will hold onto that small bit of hope that I will find them. Because fighting without hope is no way to live. It's just another way to die.
These days, I'm just hunting Manikins. Hmph. Even those things, those puppets, managed to get in here. I thought they were all wiped out in the War between Cosmos and Chaos, in that fake world. Guess I thought wrong.
