Like many cities, Malton has a fairly complex, continental weather system which changes seasonally. During summer, Malton is fairly temperate, with high temperatures in the mid-upper twenties and lows in the teens during the hottest months of June and July. During heat waves, daytime highs can reach above 30°C. In the winter, temperatures normally drop to single digits during the day, and are below freezing at night.
