He was given impeccable schooling, so that someday would ascend to administrative duties within his families matters. However, Madmartigan was far too restless, reckless and truant as a child. He would escape his lessons in the mansion to visit Malton's eclectic malls and became friends with a group of Knights. At age twenty eight, he was able to save his friends from bloodthirsty zombies by slaying some.
